Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM) is a consortium of 14 private liberal arts colleges, primarily in the Midwestern United States. The 14 colleges are located in five states: Colorado, Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, and Wisconsin. The ACM was established in 1958 and is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. The consortium's president is Sonya Malunda.

One of the ACM's largest initiatives is coordination of several off-campus study programs, which are available to students at any college or university, though many participants come from the ACM member institutions. Study programs include both domestic programs and international programs (study abroad). ACM off-campus study programs have been offered since 1960. Many programs emphasize off-campus study with a liberal arts perspective.

Whitman College is a private liberal arts college in Walla Walla, Washington. The school offers 53 majors and 33 minors in the liberal arts and sciences, and it has a student-to-faculty ratio of 9:1.
Pitzer College is a private liberal arts college in Claremont, California, United States. One of the Claremont Colleges, the college has a curricular emphasis on the social sciences, behavioral sciences, international programs, and media studies. Coastal Carolina University is a public university in Conway, South Carolina. Founded in 1954 as Coastal Carolina Junior College, and later joining the University of South Carolina System as USC Coastal Carolina, it became an independent university in 1993.
The College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (LAS) is the largest college of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. The college was established in 1913 through the merger of the College of Literature and Arts and the College of Science. The college offers seventy undergraduate majors, as well as master's and Ph.D. programs. As of 2020, there are nearly 12,000 undergraduate students and 2,500 graduate students attending the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences.
Oakton College is a public community college with campuses in Des Plaines, Illinois and Skokie, Illinois. It was established in 1969 in Morton Grove, Illinois and moved to its current locations in 1980.

Hawaii Tokai International College (HTIC) is an American two-year liberal arts college located in Kapolei, Hawaii. It was established in Honolulu on May 22, 1992, in the Mo‘ili‘ili community neighboring Waikiki. Initially called "Tokai International College," its first academic term began on October 8, 1992. In April 2015, HTIC relocated to its new campus in Kapolei, adjacent to the University of Hawaiʻi – West Oʻahu campus. The only American campus of the Tokai University Educational System (TES) of Japan, HTIC reflects the combined educational philosophies of Tokai founder Shigeyoshi Matsumae and former University of Hawaii Vice President for Community Colleges Richard Kosaki.
David Spadafora is a historian of European thought, specializing in the 18th century Enlightenment. He was the 8th President of the Newberry Library in Chicago, Illinois, and prior to that a professor at Lake Forest College. He served as president of Lake Forest College from 1993 to 2001.

The Augustana Campus is a faculty of the University of Alberta located in Camrose, Alberta, Canada. It was merged into the larger, Edmonton, Alberta-based University in 2004.
The Lorenzo de' Medici Institute is a private institution of higher education located in Florence, Italy, with smaller campuses in Tuscania and Rome. LdM has been a study abroad provider to students from all over the world since 1973, and began primarily as an Italian language institute. More than 2500 students attend LdM campuses every year. In 2006, LdM became a branch campus of Marist College, located in Poughkeepsie, New York.
Bard College Berlin is a private, non-profit institution of higher education in Berlin, Germany. It was founded as a non-profit association in 1999. Courses are taught in the English language, and the college has a high percentage of international students and international faculty. It is one of the only liberal arts colleges in Europe. Qualifying students earn both an American B.A. and a German B.A.
High Tech High North County, also known as HTHNC, is a charter school located in San Marcos, California. It is a part of the High Tech High organization. Opening in 2007, with its initial class consisting of only 150 freshmen, the school has since expanded, with more than five hundred and fifty students attending. Each year, there had been a new class added. In the 2008–2009 school year, it was sophomores, in the 2009–2010 school year it was juniors, and in the 2010–2011 school year it became seniors. It is one of only two High Tech High schools to be built from the ground up with the other being High Tech High Chula Vista. The school follows the same type of personalized, college preparatory, project-based learning characterized at other High Tech High schools.
Flashpoint Chicago was a campus of Columbia College Hollywood, a private liberal arts college with a focus on communication, media arts, and contemporary storytelling. Flashpoint Chicago was located in downtown Chicago, Illinois. It closed at the end of the 2021–2022 academic year.

IAU is an American institution of higher learning situated in southern France. Oak Point University, formerly Resurrection University is a private university in Chicago, Illinois. It was founded on February 17, 1914, and has two colleges, a college of nursing and a college of health sciences, and offers undergraduate and graduate/professional programs in the health sciences with a significant focus on nursing. The university has over 5,600 university alumni. There are two campus locations, one in Wicker Park and one in Oak Brook. The university will close at the end of the spring 2024 semester on April 19, 2024.
