Attalus is an American Christian rock band from Raleigh, North Carolina. The band started making music in 2010, with members, lead vocalist and keyboardist, Seth Davey, guitarist and background vocalist, Evan King, drummer, Adam King, bassist and background vocalist, Chris Sierra, and guitarist, John Sierra. The band released one extended play, The Greater Tide, independently, in 2010. Their next release, an album, Post Tenebras Lux, was released independently, in 2011. They released, another extended play, Brighter Side, in 2012. The subsequent album, also released independently, Gospel Hymns, Vol. 1, came out in 2013. They signed with Facedown Records, where they released, Into the Sea , a studio album, in 2015. This album was their breakthrough release upon the Billboard charts, where it placed on the Christian Albums chart. They released a message on facebook detailing their daily problems and the possibly permanent ending of Attalus.

Music history

The band commenced as a musical entity in 2010, with their first release, The Greater Tide, an extended play, that released Independently on December 28, 2010. [4] They released an album, Post Tenebras Lux, on November 18, 2011, independently. [5] Their next release, an extended play, was released on July 27, 2012, via BandCamp. [6] The group released another independently made album, Gospel Hymns Vol. 1, on April 19, 2013. [7] They signed to Facedown Records, where they released their first studio album, Into the Sea , on June 2, 2015. [8] [9] This album was their breakthrough release upon the Billboard magazine charts, where it placed on the Christian Albums chart, at a peak of No. 31. [10]

Hands was an American Christian metal band from Fargo, North Dakota, United States. The band started making music in 2007, with lead vocalist and guitarist Shane Ochsner, lead guitarist Ian Johnson, bass guitarist Chris Schwartz, and drummer Josh Silbernagel. Jerik Hendrickson became the band's lead guitarist in 2010, but he has since left the band, with Shane Ochsner taking over lead guitar duties. The band released one extended play, The Everlasting, independently in 2007. Their first studio album, The Sounds of Earth, was released by Oort Records in 2009. The band signed with Facedown Records, where they released Creator, a studio album, in 2009. The third studio album, Give Me Rest, was released in 2011, also on Facedown Records. Dynasty is an American Christian hardcore punk band from Los Angeles, California. The band started making music in 2004, and their members are lead vocalist, Joel Muniz, guitarists, Ivan Hernandez and Marcel Muniz, bassist, Ruben Nunez, and drummer, Nick Sturz. The band released a studio album, Truer Living with a Youthful Vengeance, in 2011 with Strike First Records. Their second studio album, Beyond Measure, was released in 2013 by Facedown Records. The band is performing at Facedown Fest 2017.

Onward to Olympas was an American metalcore band from Salisbury, North Carolina. The band started making music in 2005, and disbanded in 2013. Their membership was vocalists, Chris Davis and Kramer Lowe, guitarists and vocalist, Andy Simmons, Justin Gage, and Kyle Phillips, drummer and vocalist, Mark Hudson, guitarist, Andrew Higginbotham, bass guitarist, Justin Allman, and drummers, Matt Burnside, Nick Helvey. The band released one independently made album, The End of the Beginning, in 2007, and their lone extended play, Victory at All Costs, in 2008. Their first studio album, This World Is Not My Home, was released by Facedown Records, in 2010. The subsequent studio album, The War within Us, was released by Facedown Records, in 2011. They released, Indicator, with Facedown Records, in 2012, and this was their third and final studio album.

The band started making music in 2003, and disbanded in 2011. Their membership was vocalist, John Ellis, guitarists, Duke Ahrens, Matt Aviles, and Harbor Partin, bass guitarist, Kyle Bowen, and drummer, Mike Aviles. Their membership was vocalist, Nick Thomas, guitarists, Daniel Hawkins and Cody Bradley, and drummer, Josh Huskey. For All Eternity, formed in 2008, is an Australian metalcore band from Sydney. The band independently released an extended play, For All Eternity, in 2009. Their first studio album, Beyond the Gates, was released in 2012 with Taperjean Records and Shock Records. Their second studio album, Metanoia, was released with Facedown Records in 2015. This album would be their Billboard magazine breakthrough release on the Christian Albums and Heatseekers Albums charts.

Bloodlined Calligraphy is an American Christian metal band, and they primarily play metalcore. They come from Ypsilanti, Michigan. The band started making music in 1999. Their membership was Matt Carter, Ally French, Ryan Hampton, and Eric Cargile. The band released, Say Hi to the Bad Guy, an album, with Selah Records, in 2002. The group became part of Strike First Records, where they released, The Beginning of the End, an extended play, in 2004. They signed to Facedown Records, where they released, They Want You Silent, another studio album, in 2004. Their subsequent studio album, Ypsilanti, was released by Facedown Records, in 2006. The band played their last show on April 19, 2014. The band reunited in 2017 for Facedown Fest 2017.

Sleep for Sleepers were an American Christian alternative rock band, also defined as an alternative rock and indie rock band. The band formed in Whittier, California in 2004. The current lineup consists of vocalist and guitarist Jamey Price and drummer Chad Jordan, the latter of whom joined in mid-2013. The original lineup consisted of guitarist Chris Kellogg, bassist Jamey Price, and drummer Jeff Darcy.

Ascend the Hill, formerly Ben Davis, are an American worship music band from Tampa, Florida. They primarily play indie folk and indie rock. The band started making music in 2008, and currently their members are vocalist and guitarist, Joel Davis, lead guitarist, Seth Davis, bassist, Hayden Davidson, and drummer, Jonathan Thomas. The band released one extended play, as Ben Davis, who was their former front-man until his departure in 2009, Ben Davis, in 2008 independently by themselves. When they signed to Come&Live! Records, they changed their name to Ascend the Hill. Their next release, a studio album, Ascend the Hill, was released in 2009. They released, another studio album, Hymns: Take the World, but Give Me Jesus, in 2010, with Come&Live! Records. The subsequent album, also released by Come&Live! Records, O Ransomed Son, came out in 2012.

False Idle is an American Christian hardcore band from Boise, Idaho. The band started making music in 2010, and their members are lead vocalist and guitarist, Sef Idle, lead guitarist and background vocalist, Tyler Lewis, bassist and background vocalist, Seth Warren, and drummer and background vocalist, Phil Harris. The band has released four extended plays, Hymns of Punk Rock Praise, in 2010, I Refuse, in 2011, California or Bust, in 2013, and a split EP with the band, A Common Goal, Split Decision, in 2014, all with Thumper Punk Records. Their first full-length studio album, Threat, was released in 2013 by Thumper Punk Records.

Thieves & Liars (2006–2010) was an American Christian rock and Christian metal band from San Diego, California, where they formed in 2006, and disbanded in 2010. The members of the band were vocalist and bassist, Joey Bradford, drummer and vocalist, Kyle Rosa, and lead guitarist, Corey Edelmann. Their first album, When Dreams Become Reality, was released in 2008 by Facedown Records alongside Dreamt Records. The subsequent album, American Rock 'N' Roll, was released by the aforementioned record labels, in 2009.

Creations were an Australian Christian hardcore and Christian metal band who primarily played Beatdown Hardcore with Metalcore influences. They come from Sydney, NSW, Australia. The band started making music in 2009. Their first two studio albums, The Gospel and Unworthy/Humility, were released by Mediaskare Records alongside Rite of Passage Music, correspondingly in 2011 and 2013. The band announce they were disbanding in 2016.

Foreverlin is an American Christian alternative indie rock band, and they are from the cities of Cheyenne and Laramie, Wyoming, where the band started making music in 2012. They released, an extended play, Per Sempre in 2012, followed by two studio albums, Long Lost in 2013, with Red Cord Records, and, Still After in 2014, from Pando Records. In 2017, Foreverlin released an EP entitled You Remain, which features covers of worship songs, the Doxology, and an original worship song.
