Avanta was a welfare-to-work organisation and training agency, and a provider of the British government's Work Programme.

Acquisition

It was bought by the recruitment company Staffline in May 2014 at a cost of £65.45 million. [1]

Staffline later bought Avanta's Work Programme competitor, A4e, [2] before rebranding the new composite company "PeoplePlus". [3]

Bandusena Samarasinghe, popularly known as Bandu, is an actor in Sri Lankan cinema and television. He entered the film industry in 1971 with Sadahatama Oba Mage.
