Datuk Aznil bin Nawawi (born 6 November 1962), better known as Aznil Nawawi (sometimes he credited as Aznil Haji Nawawi, Aznil or Pak Nil), is a Malaysian TV host, singer and actor.
He won the Best Talk Show Award at the Asian Television Awards 2005 in Singapore. In 2011, he marked 30 years of being involved in the local entertainment scene such as Akademi Fantasia.
Aznil was born in Kampung Datuk Keramat, Kuala Lumpur. He graduated from University of Malaya with a Bachelor of Economics degree. He started his career in 1990 as a broadcaster and a media reporter with TV3. He first started doing news in broadcasting industry, then moved to hosting in 1992. Pop Kuiz was the first program he hosts. [1] In 1994, he hosted Melodi and Teleskop. He then made the move to Astro Ria television channel, which also marked his entry as creative director for the channel. One of his more popular projects is his involvement with the reality programme, Akademi Fantasia.
In May 2007, Aznil said he wouldn't be back to host the highly-popular programme after hosting it for five consecutive seasons. His exclusive contract as a creative consultant with Astro was to expire in September 2007.
Aznil has three children, Fildza Haifa whom he calls Fifi, Fariq Haizen whom he nicknames Riki, and a youngest son named Firdaus Hariz called Baby Riz. [2] [ citation needed ]
On 27 June 2016, his mother Norbaiti Surur died at the Prince Court medical center at the age of 90 due to old age. Aznil confirms the news via WhatsApp. [3] His mother's remains laid to rest at the Keramat Muslim Cemetery, at 10:45 am. [4] [5]

First solo album produced by Pony Canyon and released on 31 December 1996, the album consists of 10 songs including a cover song. Jumpa Di Sana is the first single of the album.
Aznil's mini album was published and released officially on 13 August 2008. The mini album that is entitled "Aznil" consists of three songs composed by Edry Abdul Halim and one cover version. Two of the tracks which are Teramat Sangat and Professor Klon were the original soundtrack for the film Duyung and Cicak Man respectively. Both the films were produced by KRU Films which is now KRU Studios. [17]

Asmawi bin Ani, better known by his stage name Mawi is a Malaysian singer and winner of the Third Season of Malaysia's popular reality show, Akademi Fantasia. His father is a blacksmith in his hometown of Kulai.
Akademi Fantasia is Malaysia's first reality television show in which a number of contestants called students compete for the winning title and a chance to start their career in the entertainment industry. The first season premiered on 3 June 2003 and was one of Astro Ria's highest rated shows. The theme song entitled "Menuju Puncak" was performed by Juwita Suwito, who is the sister of the composer, Aubrey Suwito.

Akademi Fantasia Kaer won Best Song at Anugerah Industri Muzik Malaysia 2008 with his song entitled Izinku Pergi composed by Azlan Abu Hassan, Lyric by Sulu Sarawak. He was also nominated for best new singer, best pop album and best male vocal. Later in 2009, Kaer went to Jakarta to pursue his Degree in Retail Business.

The fourth season of Akademi Fantasia premiered on the Astro Ria television channel on 3 June 2006. The season introduced Adlin Aman Ramlie as a replacement for Kudsia Kahar, while Aznil Nawawi returned as host once again. On 5 August 2006, a native of Marang, Terengganu, Mohammad Faizal Ramly won the season, defeating runner-up Lotter P. Edwin Edin. Faizal remained the last male winner until the seventh season.
The third season of Akademi Fantasia premiered on the Astro Ria television channel on 4 June 2005. Kudsia Kahar continued to judge the show's contestants, along with Aznil Nawawi as host. Asmawi Ani, a native of FELDA Taib Andak, Kulai, Johor, was announced the winner of the competition on 7 August 2005, defeating runner-up Felix Agus.

The show underwent a number of changes from the seventh season, including the return Adlin Aman Ramlie as judge while Aznil Nawawi joined the judging panel following the departures of Khatijah Ibrahim and Edry Hashim.

From its debut in 2012, it was hosted by the same two presenters, female host Neelofa, and male host Nabil Ahmad, until Neelofa left in 2019. It has held the annual Anugerah MeleTOP ERA jointly with Malaysian radio station, ERA since 2013.
