The Best New International Act (also known as Viewer's Choice Best New International Act), is an award presented by BET Awards, to honor prominence international artists from around the world yearly. It was first presented to Sho Madjozi in 2019. [1]

Maya Christinah Xichavo Wegerif, known professionally as Sho Madjozi, is a South African rapper, singer, songwriter, actress and poet. Madjozi incorporates the Tsonga culture through her music and public image.In 2019, Madjozi was named as one of Forbes Africa's 30 Under 30 for her contribution in the music and entertainment sector.

Jabulani Hadebe, known professionally as Sjava, is a South African singer, rapper, actor born in Bergville, KwaZulu-Natal. Sjava began his acting career in 2005, starring in several drama series and films including uGugu no Andile (2009). He then rose to prominence on the drama series Zone 14, where he starred for three consecutive seasons. Sjava ventured into the music industry and signed to record label Ambitiouz Entertainment. He gained mainstream popularity after he was featured on Miss Pru's acclaimed song "Ameni" in 2015.

BET Awards 2019

The 19th BET Awards were held on June 23, 2019 at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. The ceremony celebrated achievements in entertainment and honors music, sports, television, and movies. Cardi B received the most nominations with seven, and won the most awards with two, including for Album of the Year.

Nonqaba Nozuko Rwaxa, better known as Ms Cosmo, is a South African DJ, radio personality, MC, podcaster, music producer and singer. She is known for being the host of The Trap House and The Stir Up on 5FM. She was the first female DJ to join Channel O’s DJ music show, The Bassment.
