BLVD Place is a mixed-use development located in Uptown Houston, Houston, Texas, United States, encompassing 20 acres at the intersection of Post Oak Boulevard and San Felipe.
The development is the largest in Uptown with over 1.8 million square feet with 124,644 sq ft (11,579.8 m2) of retail space and 92,234 sq ft (8,568.8 m2) of office space. BLVD Place is home to Whole Foods Market and numerous upscale shops, boutiques, and restaurants. [2] Phase II of the development contains about 211,000 sq ft (19,600 m2) of retail, restaurant, and office space, and is 99.9% leased. Phase I, including 70,000 sq ft (6,500 m2) of retail and office space, was completed in 2009. [3] It is located on the former site of a strip mall and a 1972 mall originally called the Saks Fifth Avenue Center of Fashion (later "Pavilion at Post Oak"). [4]
By 2005, Wulfe & Co. owned a strip mall at the south end of the current BLVD Place, then acquired the Pavilion at Post Oak mall occupying the north end of the site. The mall, which originally went by the glamorous name of Saks Fifth Avenue Center of Fashion, had long been in decline, especially since losing its anchor department store, Saks Fifth Avenue, in 1997 when Saks moved to a new $50 million location in The Galleria less than a mile away. In 2005 Wulfe announced its plans to demolish the Pavilion and use both parcels to create BLVD Place in phases. [5] [4] The mall site is roughly the location of BLVD Place 6, and has the mall's old address, 1800 S. Post Oak.
The Hanover Co. constructed a 29-story high-rise residential tower in BLVD Place, known as Hanover Post Oak, on 1.2 acres (0.49 ha) at the southwest corner of Post Oak Lane and San Felipe. [6] [7]
In May 2012, Energy company Apache Corporation, currently headquartered nearby at Post Oak Central, acquired 6.4 acres (2.6 ha) in BLVD Place for their Houston headquarters. [8] [9] [10]
Frost Bank signed a lease in Phase II of BLVD Place for 53,000 sq ft (4,900 m2). The bank will consolidate its Houston region headquarters into the new space. [3]
In April 2017, the real estate investment trust, Whitestone REIT, announced plans to buy the development for, along with Eldorado Plaza, $204.6 million. [11] The eventually acquired the development for $158 million. [12]
The Galleria, stylized theGalleria and also known as the Houston Galleria, is an upscale mixed-use urban development and shopping mall located in the Uptown District of Houston, Texas, United States. The development consists of a retail complex, as well as the Galleria Office Towers complex, two Westin hotels, and a private health club. The office towers and hotels are separately owned and managed from the mall. The mall features Macy's, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and Saks Fifth Avenue.

Langham Place is a commercial complex and shopping centre in Mong Kok, Kowloon, Hong Kong. The official opening was on 25 January 2005. The complex occupies two blocks defined by Argyle Street, Portland Street, Shantung Street and Reclamation Street. Shanghai Street separates the two portions of the complex, which are connected via two overhead walkways. A hotel is on one side of the development while the commercial elements are located on the other side.
Goldsmith's was a department store founded in Memphis, Tennessee, in 1870 by German immigrant brothers Jacob and Isaac Goldsmith. It grew into a chain largely located in the Memphis metropolitan area, until 2005, when the nameplate was eliminated and replaced by Macy's. Goldsmith's stores were subsequently folded into Federated's Macy's Central division, reorganized into Macy's South, and today into a differently configured Macy's Central, the current division encompassing the stores.
The Algonquin Galleria Center is an outdoor shopping mall at the southeast corner of Randall Road and County Line Road in Algonquin, Illinois. Plans were for 1,000,000 sq ft (93,000 m2) of space with 150 stores and restaurants set over 110 acres (0.45 km2), but were never really completed. Similar to the existing Algonquin Commons across the street, it will be an outdoor mall, or lifestyle center, with stores spread out in multiple buildings, allowing shoppers to drive up to their favorite store. The Galleria is intended to be an upscale mall, not a typical power center it features; high quality aesthetics, striking architecture, one of the largest agglomerations of furniture retailers in the area,a cluster of restaurants, specialty stores, and a Bowlero bowling facility to serve as the center's entertainment complex.
Laguna Hills Mall was a shopping mall in Laguna Hills, California, United States, in southern Orange County that is being redeveloped into a lifestyle center by the owners as Village at Laguna Hills. The enclosed mall closed on December 31, 2018, and was completely demolished in 2023. The exterior stores remain open. A hotel, entertainment venues, apartments, office spaces and a community park will replace the mall.

Fairfax Square is an upscale mixed-use development located directly south of Tysons Corner Center across Leesburg Pike in Tysons Corner, Virginia. It includes 400,000 sq ft (37,160 m2) of Class A office space, primarily occupied by financial tenants such as American Express, Merrill Lynch, and New York Life, and high-end ground-floor retail among its three identical high-rises. Fairfax Square was designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Its buildings are clad in Brazilian granite, and its lobbies are finished with Italian marble and wood paneling. Ground was broken for the development in 1988. The complex replaced a Kmart store and its parking lot.

Located along Interstate 10 between Beltway 8 and Bunker Hill Road, the district is anchored by Memorial City Mall, the nation's 38th-largest shopping mall; Memorial Hermann Memorial City Medical Center; CityCentre, a high-density mixed-use development; and Town & Country Village, a shopping center. Saks Fifth Avenue Center of Fashion, later Pavilion Saks Fifth Avenue, then Pavilion at Post Oak, was a shopping center in Uptown Houston open from 1974 through 2007, originally centered around a large 240,000 sq ft (22,000 m2) Saks Fifth Avenue store which closed in 1997. The mall struggled after losing Saks, but continued to operate for ten more years, and finally closed in 2007. The Pavilion mall was demolished and the site is now part of the BLVD Place mixed-use development.
