Due to the legal requirement to give one month's notice of marriage in Australia, participants in this installment are not legally married, instead proceeding with an unofficial commitment ceremony. The series first premiered on 18 May 2015 on the Nine Network. The third season of The Bachelor premiered on 29 July 2015. This season features Sam Wood, a 34-year-old Melbourne-based business owner and personal trainer, and founder of children's fitness company Gecko Kids, originally from Tasmania; courting 21 women.

The first season of The Bachelorette Australia premiered on Network Ten on 23 September 2015. The season features Sam Frost, a 26-year-old Marketing Manager from Melbourne, Victoria, courting 14 men. Frost previously appeared on the second season of The Bachelor Australia, where although she won the show and received a proposal from Blake Garvey, the two separated prior to the finale airing.

<i>The X Factor</i> (Australian TV series) season 8 Season of television series

The X Factor was an Australian television reality music competition, based on the original British version, to find new singing talent; the winner of which received a Sony Music Australia recording contract. The eighth season, branded as X Factor: Next Generation, premiered on Seven Network on 3 October 2016. Jason Dundas replaced Luke Jacobz as host; with the judging panel consisting of Mel B, Guy Sebastian, Iggy Azalea and Adam Lambert. The fourth season of The Bachelor premiered on 27 July 2016. This season features Richie Strahan, a 31-year-old Rope Access Technician from Perth, Western Australia, courting 25 women. The fourth season of Australian Survivor is a television series based on the international reality game show franchise Survivor. The seventh season of The Bachelor premiered on 31 July 2019. This season features Matt Agnew, a 31-year-old astrophysicist from Melbourne, Victoria, courting 28 women.

The ninth season of The Voice began airing on 24 May 2020. For the first time in the show's history all of the coaches returned: Delta Goodrem for her eighth, Kelly Rowland and Boy George for their fourth and Guy Sebastian for his second. Following the exit of Sonia Kruger, Darren McMullen, who hosted the first four seasons, returns with new co-host, Renee Bargh.
