Balgö is an island and a nature reserve in Kattegat, off Tångaberg in Varberg Municipality, Sweden. Balgö is the largest island in Halland. The nature reserve was established in 1950. Some smaller islands around Balgö are also included in the nature reserve.
Balgö is an important breeding and resting place for different birds, for example little tern, pied avocet and common eider. In the winters, there are white-tailed eagles in the area.
135 species of lichens have been found on Balgö.
Balgö has the largest population of natterjack toads in Halland.

It consists of a peninsula which is popularly known as Stora Gubbanäsan, and the surrounding part of the Kattegat. The nature reserve has an area of 183 hectares, of which 53 are land. It was established in 1974.

Vendelsöarna is an archipelago and a nature reserve in Varberg Municipality, Sweden, near the border with Kungsbacka Municipality. The reserve consists of the northern part of the main island Vendelsö and the surrounding islands Brattö, Norstön, Kidholmen, and Älmö. There are two other islands in the archipelago, Ustö and Knarrskär, but they are not included in the reserve. The protected area has an area of 563 hectares, of which 128 hectares are land. It was established in 2002.
Hallands Väderö is a Swedish island located in the northwest corner of the Scania province, but it is named after the province above; Halland. Since 1958 it has been a nature reserve due to its valuable ecologic life with an old beech-forest, unusual fungi and large bird populations. During the summer season small ferries transport people to the island from Torekov. There are no permanent residents on the island at the present time, but many cabins from older times remain on the island and some can be rented for overnight accommodations. The island is also known for its large beaches that are good for bathing. In 2006 the Swedish state surveying Lantmäteriverket decided that the whole island belonged to the Church of Sweden due to an old agreement from 1753.
Särö Västerskog is a nature reserve located in Kungsbacka Municipality, Sweden, on a peninsula west of the locality of Särö. It was established in 1974 and is currently part of the Natura 2000 ecological network.
Fegen is a lake and nature reserve in Sweden. The lake has a surface area of 24 square kilometres (9.3 sq mi) and a maximum depth of 38 metres (125 ft). The lake is situated in the traditional provinces Halland, Småland and Västergötland. Their boundaries meet approximately in the middle of the lake.
Nidingen is a Swedish Kattegat sea area skerry with a lighthouse station. It is located in Onsala parish in Kungsbacka Municipality in the province (landskap) of Halland. The island has with its surrounding reefs always posed a danger to shipping. The three lighthouses on the island, one of which is active, are today protected as heritage buildings. The island is also a nature reserve with a birding station and hostel, famous for large populations of different bird species.
