The Bandar Sri Pinang station is a future elevated light rail transit station on the Mutiara line in George Town, Penang. It is situated at Bandar Sri Pinang, along the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway.
Following the takeover of the Mutiara line by the Malaysian federal government, in December 2024, the Bandar Sri Pinang station was announced as the first station to be constructed. [2] Mass Rapid Transit Corporation, the developer of the LRT line, had conducted prior consultations with the elected state assemblyman for Sungai Pinang Lim Siew Khim on the upcoming construction works. Construction is scheduled to start on 11 January 2025, with a groundbreaking ceremony to be presided by Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. [2] [3] The station is expected to be completed by 2030, in line with the completion of the Mutiara line. [4]

Seberang Perai is a city in the Malaysian state of Penang. Farlim, officially Bandar Baru Ayer Itam, is a residential neighbourhood within the city of George Town in the Malaysian state of Penang. Located 6 km (3.7 mi) southwest of the city centre, the township was created in the 1980s. Over the recent decades, Farlim has witnessed rapid development with several residential and commercial developments within the area.

The Mutiara LRT line is a proposed light rapid transit system in Penang. The 28-kilometre (17 mi) line is planned to connect George Town's city centre with its southern suburbs of Jelutong, Gelugor and Bayan Lepas, with a link towards Seberang Perai across the Penang Strait. Once completed, it is owned by the Mass Rapid Transit Corporation (MRTC). The line, a component of the Penang Transport Master Plan (PTMP), is projected to contain 21 stations. Construction of the line is expected to begin in 2025 and will be completed by 2030.
The LRT Shah Alam Line, previously known as the LRT Bandar Utama–Klang Line, LRT Bandar Utama-Johan Setia Line or simply LRT Johan Setia Line, is a medium-capacity light rapid transit (LRT) line which will be serving the Shah Alam and Klang regions on the western side of the Klang Valley, Malaysia. It will be the third LRT line, and the fourth fully automated and driverless rail system in the Klang Valley region. The line will be operated as part of the Rapid KL system by Rapid Rail, a subsidiary of Prasarana Malaysia. It was announced by Prasarana Malaysia on 24 April 2013.
The Klang Valley Integrated Transit System is an integrated transport network that primarily serves the area of Klang Valley and Greater Kuala Lumpur. The system commenced operations in August 1995 with the introduction of commuter rail service on the existing rail between Kuala Lumpur and Rawang. The system have since expanded and currently consists of 11 fully operating rail lines in a radial formation; two commuter rail lines, six rapid transit lines, one bus rapid transit line and two airport rail links to the Kuala Lumpur International Airport's (KLIA) Terminal 1 and Terminal 2, and one temporarily suspended airport rail link to the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport. The system encompasses 528.4 kilometres (328.3 mi) of grade-separated railway with 197 operational stations.
Bandar Sri Pinang is a residential neighbourhood within the city of George Town in the Malaysian state of Penang. Situated within the city centre, it is bounded by the Pinang River to its north and the Tun Dr Lim Chong Eu Expressway to its west. The Batu Uban station is a proposed light rail transit station located at Paya Terubong, along the Sultan Azlan Shah Road in George Town, Penang. The station is projected to be part of the Mutiara line, serving the suburb of Batu Uban. Construction is expected to start in September or October 2024, and will be completed by 2030, in line with the completion of the Mutiara line.
The SPICE station is a proposed light rail transit station located at Bayan Lepas in George Town, Penang. The station is projected to be part of the Mutiara line, and is adjacent to the SPICE Arena, serving the suburbs of Bayan Baru and Relau. Construction is expected to start in September or October 2024, and will be completed by 2030, in line with the completion of the Mutiara line.
The Penang Airport station is a future elevated light rail transit station on the Mutiara line in George Town, Penang. It will be situated between the Penang International Airport and a proposed Mitsui outlet mall.
The Penang Hill cable car is a gondola lift under construction in George Town, the capital city of the Malaysian state of Penang. The 2.73 km (1.70 mi) line will connect the Penang Botanic Gardens to the peak of Penang Hill and is intended to complement the existing Penang Hill Railway. The cable car line is projected to serve a capacity of 1,000 passengers per hour on each direction. Construction commenced in 2024 and is projected to be completed by 2026.
Silicon Island is a man-made islet currently under reclamation off the southern coast of Penang Island in the Malaysian state of Penang. It is located 350 m (1,150 ft) off the shoreline of Penang Island and lies within the jurisdiction of George Town.
