The Norwegian bandy season starts with the Kosa Open where the winner of the elite section qualifies for the Kopa Cup. Eight teams then contest the Norwegian Bandy Premier League. The league system comprises four leagues, with nineteen different clubs as well as ten B teams.

Bærum is a municipality in the Greater Oslo Region in Norway that forms an affluent suburb of Oslo on the west coast of the city. Stabæk Idrætsforening is a Norwegian multi-sports club in Bærum, a municipality bordering on Oslo in the west. It has sections for football, bandy, handball and alpine skiing. While the football team Stabæk Fotball is the most prominent, the men's bandy team has taken multiple national championships. The women's handball team plays in the first tier of Norwegian handball, and the men's team on the third tier. The club formerly had sections for athletics, sport shooting and orienteering. In early 2009 a new women's football team was started within Stabæk IF and was named Stabæk Fotball Kvinner, in reality a relocation of Asker Fotball's women's team.
Stabekk Station is a railway station of the Drammen Line situated at Stabekk in Bærum, Norway. Located 8.99 kilometers (5.59 mi) from Oslo Central Station, it is served by line L1, L2, L2x and L21 of the Oslo Commuter Rail and by Flytoget - the express train to Oslo Airport. It is located in a primarily residential area and has four regular hourly services operated by the Norwegian State Railways. The station features an island platform accessible from the station building on the south side.
Myra Station was a railway station situated at Myra in the neighborhood of Stabekk in Bærum, Norway, on the Drammen Line. The station, located 7.30 kilometers (4.54 mi) from Oslo West Station, was served by Oslo Commuter Rail trains of the Norwegian State Railways. Ramstad opened on 1 November 1931 with two simple side platforms. It was opened as Marstrander bro, but took the name Myra eighteen days later. Ticket sales remained until 1964. The station was one of several closed on 3 July 1973 as part of a service upgrade to speed up local trains on the Drammen Line.

The 2019 Norwegian Football Cup was the 114th season of the Norwegian annual knock-out football tournament. It began with qualification matches in March and April 2019. The first round was played on 1 May 2019 and the tournament concluded with the final on 8 December 2019.
