Bangali Babu is a 2002 Bengali film directed by Indian film director Anjan Choudhury & presented by Naryan Roy. It is an action packed movie.[ citation needed ]
Mithun Chakraborty plays the role of Bangali Babu a messiah for the people. He is at first rescued by a cop (Ranjit Mullick) in the streets. It is revealed that he is an orphan[ citation needed ]. He grows up in the Gobardanga Basti to a non-Bengali working class couple (Biswajit Chakraborty and Anamika Saha). In short, he has all the wrong cards dealt to him, yet he becomes the Messiah of the basti and does social works and helps people a lot. But, life still had something in store for him. His life changes when he is hit on the head by weapons used by a group of goons.
