Bangoran is a town in the Bamingui-Bangoran Prefecture in the northern Central African Republic. [1]

Bamingui-Bangoran is one of the 16 prefectures of the Central African Republic. It covers an area of 58,200 km² and has a population of 38,437. The population density of 0.66/km² is the lowest in the country. The capital is Ndélé.

Bamingui-Bangoran National Park and Biosphere Reserve

The Bamingui-Bangoran National Park complex is a national park and biosphere reserve located in the northern region of the Central African Republic. It makes up part of the Guinea-Congo Forest biome. It was established in 1993. The Vassako Bolo Strict Nature Reserve is in the midst of the park.
