Larisa Yevgenyevna Lazutina is a Soviet-Russian former professional cross-country skier.
Barbara Petzold is a former East German Cross-country skier who competed during the 1970s and early 1980s. She won two gold medals at the 1980 Winter Olympics in Lake Placid in the 10 km and the 4 × 5 km relay, and a bronze in the 4 × 5 km relay at the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck.
Alevtina Pavlovna Kolchina was a Soviet cross-country skier who competed during the 1950s and 1960s for Burevestnik and later for Dynamo sports societies. She competed in four Winter Olympics, earning a total of five medals. Kolchina also competed several times at the Holmenkollen ski festival, winning three times at 10 km (1961–1963) and once at 5 km (1966).
Juha Iisakki Mieto is a Finnish former cross-country skier, who was born in Kurikka. He competed in the 1972, 1976, 1980 and 1984 Olympics and won five medals, including a gold medal in the 4 × 10 km relay in 1976. He also placed fourth three times, losing the 15 km bronze medal in 1972 by 0.06 seconds. He finished second in this event in 1980 in the closest-ever margin of victory in Olympic cross-country skiing, 0.01 seconds, which led the International Ski Federation (FIS) to round all of their times to the nearest 1/10 second in future competitions. Mieto was selected as the Finnish flag bearer at the 1972 Winter Olympics.
Silvio Fauner is an Italian former cross-country skier who competed from 1988 to 2006. His best known victory was part of the 4 × 10 km relay team that upset Norway at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer. He also won four other medals at the Winter Olympics with silvers in the 4 × 10 km relay and bronzes in the 15 km (1994) and 30 km (1998).
Maria Ivanovna Gusakova was a Russian cross-country skier who competed from the late 1950s to the early 1960s for VSS Spartak. She won a complete set of Winter Olympic medals as part of the Soviet team with a gold in the 10 km (1960), a silver in the 3 × 5 km relay (1960), and a bronze in the 10 km (1964). Gusakova also earned a complete set of medals at the 1962 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships with a gold in the 3 × 5 km relay, a silver in the 10 km, and a bronze in the 5 km. Her husband Nikolay Gusakov also competed at the 1960 Winter Olympics and claimed bronze in Nordic combined event.
Květoslava Jeriová-Pecková is a former Czech cross-country skier. She competed from 1980 to 1984. She won three medals at the Winter Olympics with a silver at the 4 × 5 km relay (1984) and two bronzes in the 5 km. Jeriová was the most successful Czech woman cross-country skier until Kateřina Neumannová came along in the 1990s.
Natalya Ivanovna Baranova-Masalkina ; born 25 February 1975 in Krivosheino, Tomsk Oblast) is a former Russian cross-country skier who has competed from 1994 to 2006. She won a gold medal in the 4 × 5 km relay at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin.
Barbara Jezeršek is a Slovenian-born Australian cross country skier, currently representing Australia, who has competed since 2003. At the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, she finished 14th in the 4 x 5 km relay, 17th in the 7.5 km + 7.5 km double pursuit, and 40th in the 10 km events.

Todd Boonstra is a former American cross-country skier. He competed in the Olympics in 1984, 1988, 1994. Boonstra is a 1984 graduate of the University of Vermont, where he competed for the Vermont Catamounts team. He is also a marathon runner, and in 2003 became the oldest champion of the Mount Marathon Race at 41. Boonstra graduated from Burnsville High School in Burnsville, Minnesota in 1980. He currently resides in Alaska, living in Ninilchik in the summers and Galena in the winter, where he is a teacher and ski coach.
