Barbara J. Linton,(born June 27,1952) was a Wisconsin politician and legislator. She served in the Wisconsin State Assembly from 1986 to 1998. [1]
Born in Ashland,Wisconsin,she attended Northland College,and currently lives in High Bridge. She was the Ashland County Board Supervisor from 1984 to 1988. [2] While serving in the State Assembly as a Democrat for 12 years,she later ran unsuccessfully as a Republican.

Ashland County is a county located in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. As of the 2020 census, the population was 16,027. Its county seat is Ashland. The county was formed on March 27, 1860, from La Pointe County. The county partly overlaps with the reservation of the Bad River Band of the Lake Superior Tribe of Chippewa Indians.
Ashland is a city in Ashland and Bayfield counties in the U.S. state of Wisconsin. It is the county seat of Ashland County. The city is a port on Lake Superior, near the head of Chequamegon Bay. The population was 7,908 at the 2020 census, all of whom resided in the Ashland County portion of the city. The unpopulated Bayfield County portion is in the city's southwest, bordered by the easternmost part of the Town of Eileen.

Bernard John Gehrmann was a German American immigrant, farmer, and Progressive Republican politician. He was a member of the United States House of Representatives for four terms, representing Wisconsin's 10th congressional district from 1935 through 1943. He also served four years in the Wisconsin Senate and 12 years in the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing Ashland County.

The 73rd Assembly District of Wisconsin is one of 99 districts in the Wisconsin State Assembly. Located in the northwest corner of Wisconsin, the district comprises parts of northern Douglas County, northern Bayfield County, and northern Ashland County. Nicholas Mills Donaldson was an American lawyer, judge, and pioneer of Wisconsin and Minnesota. He was a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly for three terms, representing Fond du Lac County, and served fourteen years as a Minnesota district court judge. He was also the 10th mayor of Owatonna, Minnesota, and the first prosecuting attorney of Ashland County, Ohio.
Chanz Jeffery Green is an American business owner and Republican politician from Bayfield County, Wisconsin. He is a member of the Wisconsin State Assembly, representing Wisconsin's 74th Assembly district since January 2023.
