Barbasphecia hephaistos is a moth of the family Sesiidae. It is known from Ghana.
The larvae feed on Loranthus species.
Hephaestus is the Greek god of artisans, blacksmiths, carpenters, craftsmen, fire, metallurgy, metalworking, sculpture and volcanoes. Hephaestus's Roman counterpart is Vulcan.
