The United Democratic Movement (UDM) is a political party that was founded in 1999 by politicians who were at the time considederd to be renegades from the then ruling party Kenya African National Union but was denied registration by the then head of state Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi and most of its then leaders went to other parties by the time of the 2002 general elections.
The Senate is the upper house of the Parliament of Kenya. The Senate was first established as part of Kenya's 1963 Constitution. After being abolished in 1966, the Senate was re-established by the 2010 Constitution.

The Supreme Court rejected Cord's petition and declared Kenyatta the president-elect.
Dr Alfred Nganga Mutua is a Kenyan politician who is the Governor of Machakos County. Mutua was the Kenyan government spokesman before resigning to run for the office of County Governor.

Born Victor Mbuvi, he drew his love for music from his childhood and inspiration from his mother who died in 1999, a year before Mbuvi launched his music career. Salim Mvurya, Salim Mvurya Mkala or Mvurya Salim Mgalla is a Kenyan politician. He became the first governor of Kwale County, Kenya after winning in the 2013 general elections. He vied on an Orange Democratic Movement ticket but later joined the Jubilee Party of Kenya. It was announced on 30 August 2017 that he will named Chairman of Kenya's Council of Governors. He will replace current chairman Josphat Nanok.

He hails from the Pokot community which mainly inhabits West Pokot County.
The Machakos County Governor is the chief executive of the Machakos and the various agencies and departments over which the officer has jurisdiction, as prescribed in the Republic of Kenya Constitution 2010. It is a directly elected position, votes being cast by popular suffrage of residents of Machakos County. The governor is responsible for enacting laws passed by the Machakos County Assembly.
