Barkley Shut Up and Jam 2 is a 1995 basketball video game developed and published by Accolade exclusively for the Sega Genesis. The game is a sequel to 1994's Barkley Shut Up and Jam!
Piko Interactive acquired the rights to the game and re-released it in a compilation cartridge for the Evercade handheld under the name Hoops Shut Up and Jam 2 in 2021. [1]
The game is played from a horizontal perspective as the player and its teammate (computer or human) try to outscore the competition using any means necessary.
Players can choose from ten "streetwise" players, not including Charles Barkley himself, as they play in either an exhibition game or tournament. Since this is basketball on the street, players compete in eight different urban environments featuring graffiti, rubble, and even a moving train. More than 2000 player animations have been included to show moves such as behind-the-back passes, double-clutches, alley-oops, and 25 different dunks. Battery backup allows players to save tournament progress, as well as individual records such as triple doubles, total wins, and total losses.
In addition, digitized voice samples of Charles Barkley offer either words of encouragement or ridicule while they play.
GamePro gave the game a mixed review, saying that the graphics and animations are drastically improved over the original Barkley, the tournament mode is "a worthy challenge for veteran b-ball gamers", and the gameplay is complex, but that "the action stays at relatively the same pace throughout the game" and in single player mode the computer partner AI often fails to cooperate with the player's attempts at teamwork. [2] A reviewer for Next Generation gave it one star out five rating; while noting the game to be "far superior" to the original Barkley, he called it "terrible" in several aspects, and commented that the game did not capture the essence of street basketball well. NBA Jam Extreme is a 1996 basketball arcade game by Acclaim Entertainment based on the 1996–97 NBA season. After Midway Games released two NBA Jam games, Acclaim, the publisher of the home versions of NBA Jam, ended up winning the exclusive rights to use the Jam name. NBA Jam Extreme was the first Jam game from Acclaim, as well as the first edition of the game to use 3D graphics. In contrast, Midway's competing NBA game NBA Hangtime featured 2-D visuals similar to the previous Jam games. Extreme also features longtime sports broadcaster Marv Albert doing commentary instead of original commentator Tim Kitzrow. New to the game is the "Extreme" button, essentially a super version of the series' trademark "Turbo" button. The cover features Shawn Kemp of the Seattle SuperSonics, and Hakeem Olajuwon of the Houston Rockets.
Full Throttle: All-American Racing, known in Japan as Full Power (フル・パワー), is a racing video game released in 1991 by Gremlin Interactive for the SNES. In Japan, it was published by Coconuts Japan, in North America by Cybersoft, and in Europe by GameTek. In April 2021, it was released as part of Piko Interactive Collection 2 for the Evercade by Blaze Entertainment.

Dick Vitale's "Awesome, Baby!" College Hoops is a 1994 college basketball sports game developed and published by Time Warner Interactive. It was released for the Sega Genesis in 1994. Directed by Richard Seaborne, the game features the voice and likeness of the basketball sportscaster Dick Vitale and prominently features his quotes and catchphrases. Players play as multiple college basketball teams from the United States in a 3D court that automatically rotates to fit to the player's position, which was a major selling point for the game.
