Barney McAuley (born 1982) is an Irish hurler who played as a right corner-back for the Antrim senior team. [1]

McAuley made his first appearance for the team during the 2003 National League and was a regular member of the starting fifteen until his retirement after the 2007 championship. During that time he won one Christy Ring Cup winners' medal and one Ulster winners' medal.

At club level McAuley is an All-Ireland medalist with Loughgiel Shamrocks. In addition to this he has also won back-to-back Ulster and county club championship winners' medals.

Loughgiel Shamrocks GAC

Loughgiel Shamrocks GAC is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the village of Loughgiel/Loughguile in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. They are currently the only club in Ulster to have won an All-Ireland Senior Club Hurling Championship, which they first won in 1983. They repeated the feat by defeating Coolderry from Offaly by 4-13 to 0-17 in the All Ireland Club Hurling Final on 17 March 2012. On Sunday 29 September 2013, they achieved their first four in a row of Antrim Senior Hurling Championships by beating Cushendall, in the first final to be staged outside Casement Park since 1990.

McQuillan GAC Ballycastle is a Gaelic Athletic Association club located in the town of Ballycastle in County Antrim, Northern Ireland. The club is affiliated with the Antrim county board. The club participates in both hurling and Gaelic football but is known primarily for its hurling successes. They play their home matches at Páirc MacUílín which has also hosted the Antrim Senior Hurlers in recent years due to the ongoing redevelopment of Casement Park. The Club is sponsored by Parker Transport a local business in the town.
