The basketball tournament at the 2011 Southeast Asian Games took place from 14 to 20 November 2011. This edition of the tournament featured both men's and women's tournament. All matches took place at Kelapa Gading Sports Mall in Jakarta.

Men's tournament

All times are Western Indonesian Time (WIB) – UTC+7. [1]

The Philippines, which sent an all-amateur team, topped Group A by beating Thailand 103–69 to give the Thais their first loss in the tournament, although both teams qualified to the semifinals. [2] On Group B, hosts Indonesia eliminated Singapore from contention by five points, to top the group. [3] In the semifinals, Malaysia trailed by three points at halftime, but the Philippines pulled away at the second half to secure a berth for the gold medal game. [4] In the other semifinal, Thailand outscored Indonesia 22–10 in the fourth quarter to eliminate the hosts from the tournament, giving the Indonesians their first loss.

The Philippines won the gold medal without losing a game, beating Thailand in the final, 85–57. [5]

The ice hockey competition at the 2019 Southeast Asian Games in the Philippines was held at the SM Mall of Asia Skating Rink in Pasay, Metro Manila from 1 to 8 December 2019.

The women's basketball tournament at the 2021 Southeast Asian Games was held at the Thanh Trì District Sporting Hall in Hanoi, Vietnam from 16 to 22 May 2022.

The men's basketball tournament at the 2021 Southeast Asian Games was held at the Thanh Trì District Sporting Hall in Hanoi, Vietnam from 16 to 22 May 2022.

The knockout stage of the 2022 AFF Championship were the second and final stage of the 2022 AFF Championship, following the group stage. It was took place from 6 to 16 January 2023. The top two teams from each group advanced to the knockout stage to compete in a two-legged single-elimination tournament beginning with the semi-finals followed by the final. Each tie are played on a home-and-away two-legged basis. The away goals rule, extra time and penalty shoot-out are used to decide the winner if necessary.

The men's basketball tournament at the 2023 Southeast Asian Games will be held at the Morodok Techo Indoor Sports Center in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from 9 to 16 May 2023.

The women's basketball tournament at the 2023 Southeast Asian Games was held at the Morodok Techo Indoor Sports Center in Phnom Penh, Cambodia from 9 to 15 May 2023.
