The Battle of Pozoblanco took place between 6 March and 16 April 1937, during the Spanish Civil War. [1] The battle saw Republican troops defeat Nationalist attempts to take the town.

The International Brigades were military units set up by the Communist International to assist the Popular Front government of the Second Spanish Republic during the Spanish Civil War.
