Beach volleyball at the 2016 Summer Olympics – Women's qualification

The qualification for the 2016 Women's Olympic beach volleyball tournament was held from 26 June 2015 to 26 June 2016. A maximum of two teams per country were allowed to qualify. [1] 24 teams from 17 countries qualified.

The Fédération Internationale de Volleyball, commonly known by the acronym FIVB, is the international governing body for all forms of volleyball. Its headquarters are located in Lausanne, Switzerland and its current president is Brazilian Ary Graça.

FIVB Volleyball World Grand Champions Cup

The FIVB Volleyball World Grand Champions Cup is an international volleyball competition contested by the senior men's and women's national teams of the members of Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The tournament was created in 1993 after radical changes made on the biggest tournaments organised by the FIVB. The main goal was not to have a single year without two high-profile world-level volleyball competitions, alongside the pre-existing men's and women's world championship, men's and women's world cup and the volleyball tournament at the Olympic Games which are all quadrennial and the annual men's and women's Nations League.

The qualification for the 2008 Men's Olympic Volleyball Tournament was held from 1 September 2007 to 8 June 2008.

Kenya womens national volleyball team

The Kenya women's national volleyball team, the Malkia Strikers, represents Kenya in international volleyball competitions. Kenya has dominated the African continent since the 1990s, winning the Women's African Volleyball Championship a record nine times. They have qualified three times for the Olympics; in 2000, 2004 and for the postponed 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.

The qualification for the 2012 Men's Olympic Volleyball Tournament was held from 13 August 2011 to 10 June 2012.

Volleyball at the 2016 Summer Olympics

The volleyball tournaments at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro was played between 6 and 21 August. 24 volleyball teams and 48 beach volleyball teams, total 386 athletes, participated in the tournament. The indoor volleyball competition took place at Ginásio do Maracanãzinho in Maracanã, and the beach volleyball tournament was held at Copacabana Beach, in the temporary Copacabana Stadium.

The 2015 FIVB Men's World Cup was held from 8 to 23 September 2015 in Japan. The tournament served as a qualification process for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The top two teams, USA and Italy, qualified for the Olympics, and joined Brazil as they had already secured a berth as the host country.

The 2015 FIVB Women's World Cup was held from August 22 to September 6 in Japan. The tournament was a qualification process for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Czech Republic at the 2020 Summer Olympics Czech Republic at the Games of the XXXII Olympiad in Tokyo

The Czech Republic competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. Originally scheduled to take place from 24 July to 9 August 2020, the Games were postponed to 23 July to 8 August 2021, because of the COVID-19 pandemic. It was the nation's seventh consecutive appearance at the Summer Olympics after splitting from the former Czechoslovakia.

The 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women's Challenger Cup qualification is a series of tournaments to decide teams which will play in the 2019 FIVB Volleyball Women's Challenger Cup. The 2019 Challenger Cup will feature 6 teams. Only one place will be allocated to the hosts. The remaining 5 places will be determined by a qualification process, in which entrants from among the other teams from the five FIVB confederations will compete.

The 2022 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship will be the 20th staging of the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, contested by the senior men's national teams of the members of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The final tournament was originally planned to be held in Russia from 26 August to 11 September 2022. However, due to its invasion of Ukraine starting on 24 February, it was stripped of organization rights.
