Rogue Traders is an Australian electronic rock band formed in Melbourne, Victoria in 2002 by mainstay James Ash on keyboards. In 1989, Ash met fellow original member Steve Davis in London while both were working as DJs. Before forming Rogue Traders, the pair had worked together on many projects, including the dance music act Union State, which relocated to Melbourne in 1992. The group's name comes from the 1999 drama film, Rogue Trader. They were joined in 2004 by soap opera actress, Natalie Bassingthwaighte, on lead vocals, Cameron McGlinchey on drums and Tim Henwood on guitar. Davis continued as a behind-the-scenes member, contributing to the songwriting process but not making any public appearances with the group.

"Angels Brought Me Here" is a pop song performed by Australian singer Guy Sebastian. It was released in Australia on 24 November 2003 as the lead single from his debut album, Just as I Am (2003). The song was written by Jörgen Elofsson and John Reid for Network Ten's TV talent competition, Australian Idol's inaugural season. Recorded versions were made for both grand finalists, Sebastian and Shannon Noll, with only Sebastian's version officially released by BMG. Alley commented: "I Belong is about moving on and being optimistic - about letting go of old things. It's a positive song". She wrote the song in 2003 while writing her previous hit "Falling", and was excited when she saw it in production, she said: "It's great when something you have written has been given a pulse. I can hear and see it now thanks to the video and that is a great feeling". Producer Szumowski stated: "It was one of the first songs we started working on. It's got a chorus that creeps up and hits you, and I loved it straight away". The song failed to chart on the Australian ARIA Singles Chart, but peaked at number eight on the Australian Independent Singles Chart.
