Begnagrad is the debut studio album by the Yugoslav avant-garde/progressive rock Begnagrad released in 1982. In 1990, the album was reissued by a French label under the title Konzert for a Broken Dance.
Begnagrad was formed in 1976 by Bratko Bibič (accordion), Bogo Pečnikar (clarinet), Vlado Špindler (bass guitar), and Igor Muševič (drums), guitarists Bojan Zidarić, Igor Leonardi and Boris Romih cooperating with them on different occasions. [1] The band performed avant-garde rock with the elements of free jazz, swing, traditional music, but also of pop, and soon gained attention of the audience with their unconventional compositions. [1] After their performance at the prominent Youth Festival in Subotica in 1977, they recorded part of their songs in Radio Novi Sad studios with producer Anđelko Maletić. [1] The recordings should have appeared on their first album, however that record was never released. [1] In 1978, Špindler had to leave the band to serve his mandatory stint in the Yugoslav army, and Begnagrad went on hiatus. [1] The group reunited at the beginning of the 1980s. [1] During the following years, Begnagrad went to numerous lineup and stylistic changes. [1] They recorded their debut album in the lineup featuring Bibič, Pečnikar, Romih, Nino de Gleria (bass guitar), and Aleš Rendla (drums, violin). [1] The album, entitled simply Begnagrad, was released in 1982 through ZKP RTLJ. [1] The songs on the album were composed by Bibič and De Gleria. [1]

The band spent 1983 and 1984 performing mostly in Western Europe. [1] They ended their activity in 1984. [1] In the years following the disbandment, former members of the band would release two album with their recordings from the 1970s, Jodlovska Urška (1990), featuring the material recorded during the 1977 Radio Novi Sad sessions, and Tastare (Theoldwones) (1992), featuring studio and live recordings from 1976 and 1977. [1]
In 1990, Begnagrad was re-released by the French record label AYYA, under the title Konzert for a Broken Dance, featuring a session recording entitled "Tazadnatanova = Thelastnewone" as a bonus tracks. [1] [2] On the reissue, tracks 1 and 2 are switched, and the track "Žvižgovska Urška" is split into "Žvižgovska = Wisteling Ursulla" and half-minute track "Joj Di Di Joj = Joj Di Di Joj". The album featured alternate titles for the tracks and a cover designed by the band's former member Bogo Pečnikar. [2]

François Couture of AllMusic noted that "the group's highly original blend of Eastern European folk and complex progressive rock elements may not have been everyone's cup of tea, but the level of energy and the raw feelings conveyed by their first proper album make the music more immediate than one would expect".
The song "Coc'N Rolla" is used in the YouTube viral video Garfielf, [4] an intentionally crude slideshow parody of the comic Garfield, made using text-to-speech and images presumably made in MS Paint.
The Faint is an American indie rock band. Formed in Omaha, Nebraska, the band consists of Todd Fink, Graham Ulicny, Dapose and Clark Baechle. The Faint was originally known as Norman Bailer and included Conor Oberst. He quit shortly after the band was formed, though the Faint continued to share a spot with Bright Eyes on Saddle Creek Records.
Summer in Paradise is the twenty-seventh studio album by American rock band the Beach Boys, released on August 3, 1992, by Brother Records. Produced by Terry Melcher, it is the only album not to feature any new contributions from Brian Wilson, and has been regarded as the band's critical and commercial low point, failing to chart in either the US or UK and receiving almost unanimously negative reviews. In North America, it was the group's first album to be released only on CD and cassette, with a rare vinyl pressing released only in South Korea. The Beach Boys did not record another album of predominately original material until That's Why God Made the Radio in 2012. Summer in Paradise was left out of Capitol's Beach Boys CD reissue campaign of 2000 to 2001, as well as all other reissues for most of the group's discography. Both it and its predecessor, Still Cruisin', are currently out of print. Summer in Paradise, along with Still Cruisin, were pulled from later re-releases due to poor public reception.
Jubilation is the tenth and final studio album by Canadian/American rock group the Band. Recorded in the spring of 1998 in Levon Helm's home studio in Woodstock, New York, it was released on September 15, 1998. For the first time since the group reformed without guitarist and songwriter Robbie Robertson, there were more originals than covers. Songs include "Last Train to Memphis", featuring guest guitarist Eric Clapton, Garth Hudson's solo instrumental closer "French Girls", Rick Danko's "High Cotton" and the ode to Ronnie Hawkins, "White Cadillac".
Remains is a rarities album by the English rock band the Only Ones, released in June 1984 by Closer Records. This collection combines pre-Only Ones recordings from November 1975 with Only Ones demos, many from August 1976. Both sessions took place at Tooting Studios in South London. The 1975 titles — "Watch You Drown", "My Rejection", "Don't Hold Your Breath" and "I Only Wanna Be Your Friend" — also feature contributions from Squeeze's Glenn Tilbrook, Gordon Edwards, drummer Alan Platt, and John Perry playing bass guitar. These demos pre-date the recording of the first Only Ones single, "Lovers of Today". Subsequent tracks all feature the regular Only Ones line-up.

Laboratorija Zvuka, credited as Laboratorija (Laboratory) only on some of their releases, was a Serbian and Yugoslav rock band formed in Novi Sad in 1977. Laboratorija Zvuka were a prominent act of the Yugoslav rock scene, noted for their eccentric style, erotic lyrics, unusual line ups and bizarre circus-inspired stage performances.

Vampiri are a Yugoslav and Serbian rock band from Belgrade. The band was formed in 1990, and performed music influenced by the 1950s doo-wop and rockabilly. After releasing two studio albums, they disbanded in 1993. The band reunited in 1995, releasing two more albums which featured a harder rock sound, only to disband for a second time in 1998. In 2012, the band reunited once again.
