Bendhechhi Beena is a Bengali studio album by renowned Bollywood playback singer Shreya Ghoshal. Released on 1 January 1998 by Sagarika Music, the album happens to be the first studio album of Ghoshal, consisting of 14 tracks. The songs are cover versions of classic Bengali hits by songstresses like Parveen Sultana, Asha Bhosle, Lata Mangeshkar, Sandhya Mukhopadhyay and many others. The tracks; which have been adapted from compositions by well-known music directors of Bengal including R. D. Burman, Salil Chowdhury and Sudhin Dasgupta; were rearranged by music director Amit Bandyopadhyay for this album. [1] [2]

She has received four National Film Awards, four Kerala State Film Awards, two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, seven Filmfare Awards and ten Filmfare Awards South. She has recorded songs for films and albums in various Indian languages and has established herself as a leading playback singer of Indian cinema.
Shangbigno Pakhikul O Kolkata Bishayak is the debut album by the Bengali rock band Moheener Ghoraguli. It was released in 1977 by Gathani Records. It was recorded at a local studio in Kolkata during their formation period from 1976 to 1977. The band at the time consisted of Gautam Chattopadhyay, Biswanath Chattopadhyay, Pradip Chatterjee, Ranjon Ghoshal, Abraham Mazumdar, Tapas Das, Tapesh Bandopadhyay. Gautam also served as the band's primary songwriter, though he contributed only one track on the album credited to the band collectively and other tracks were written by Ranjon, Tapas and Tapesh.
Anweshaa is an Indian singer who made her presence felt in the Indian music scene at the age of 13 through the reality show Amul STAR Voice of India, Chhote Ustaad. Anweshaa was runner-up in the finals, where the outcome was solely decided on the number of votes polled. She was the favorite of judges throughout the contest and had the sole distinction of winning a Sarvottam for all her performance. Anwesha is known for starring in Amul Music ka maha muqqabla at the age of 16. She not only had the sole distinction of '6 Singer of the Day awards' for seven performances, but also won the 'Singer of the Series award'. In spite of being the youngest in the show, she defeated the winners and participants of various shows who participated in 'music ka maha muqqabla' and received the award. She was hugely applauded in this show for her flawless and rocking performances, which helped her team to the finals. Also one of the opposite teams captain in the show, Shankar Mahadevan said that '"she was the best singer that ever emerged from a reality show after Shreya Ghoshal in the 90s". She has also made her debut in commercial playback singing in a Hindi movie Golmaal Returns. Anweshaa has sung the song Tha Karke, which is said to be the most expensive song to ever be shot in Bollywood. Apart from few Bollywood songs, She has sung many Bengali songs, albums, two Tamil songs and one Telugu song for the movie and a Telugu album song to her credit. Anwesha made her Kannada debut with the film Santheyalli Nintha Kabira in 2016. She also appeared in Coke Studio aside Papon. Along with other awards, she won Best female playback singer award for Bengali song in Tele Cine Awards 2011.

Autograph is a 2010 Indian Bengali drama film by debutant director Srijit Mukherji. The movie is a tribute to Satyajit Ray's 1966 film Nayak and yesteryear Bengali actor Uttam Kumar, who portrayed the title role in the film. This was the First of the forthcoming Long Collaboration between Srijit Mukherjee & Prosenjit Chatterjee. The movie is being remade in Malayalam.

Lootera, (transl. Robber) is a 2013 Indian Hindi-language period romantic drama film directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and partly based on author O. Henry's 1907 short story "The Last Leaf". It is the second film directed by Motwane after his critically acclaimed film Udaan (2010). Set in the era of the 1950s, against the backdrop of the Zamindari Abolition Act by the newly independent India, it tells the story of a young conman posing as an archaeologist and the daughter of a Bengali zamindar. The film stars Sonakshi Sinha and Ranveer Singh in lead roles. The film's producers are Shobha Kapoor, Ekta Kapoor, Anurag Kashyap and Vikas Bahl, the film features music and background score by Amit Trivedi with all song lyrics penned by Amitabh Bhattacharya and cinematography by Mahendra J. Shetty. Lootera released to worldwide critical acclaim on 5 July 2013 and was counted as one of the best movies of the year 2013.

Golam Musabbir Rakib simply known as Rakib Musabbir, is a Bangladeshi singer-songwriter, musician and record producer. He became popular as Rakib Musabbir after the release of his first solo album 's title track "Jare Amar Mon". According to The New Nation, "He is notable for his fusion of Bengali music with contemporary techno and urban beats, film score, folk, pop, [and] rock."

"Shudhijon Shono" is a song by Bengali rock band Moheener Ghoraguli, featured on their 1978 debut album, Ajaana UDonto bostu ba Aw-Oo-Baw. Written by Ranjon Ghoshal, composed by Gautam Chattopadhyay, and sung by Tapesh Bandyopadhyay, Tapas Das and Ranjon. The lyrics is a call to the people of the city, while bass guitar carry the music. It was one of the band's initial songs such as "Haay, Bhalobasi" and "Bheshe Ashey Kolkata".
