Sher Shah Suri, born Farīd Khān, was the founder of the Suri Empire in India, with its capital in Sasaram in modern-day Bihar. He introduced the currency of rupee. Sher Shah of Sur took control of the Mughal Empire in 1540. After his accidental death in 1545, his son Islam Shah became his successor.
Amra Bangali (AMB) is a political party in India, based on the socio-economic and political philosophy Progressive Utilization Theory given by Prabhat Ranjan Sarkar; the party was sparked off in reaction against anti-Bengali rhetoric in Northeast India. Amra Bangali enjoyed a short stint in the spotlight in the mid-1980s when it even won some gram panchayat seats in border districts. Moratuwa is a large suburb of Colombo, on the southwestern coast of Sri Lanka, near Dehiwala-Mount Lavinia. It is situated on the Galle–Colombo main highway, 18 km south of Colombo city centre. Moratuwa is surrounded on three sides by water, except in the north of the city, by the Indian Ocean on the west, the Bolgoda lake on the east and the Moratu river on the south. According to the 2012 census, the suburb had a population of 168,280.
Raja Sálbán was a king of the Indian subcontinent in the 2nd century millennium CE, who is believed to have founded the fort of Sialkot. Sialkot is now in the Punjab province of Pakistan, near the country's north eastern border with India. Raja Salwan belonged to Gujjar caste of Sialkot, his sub-caste was Puwar.
Bhagat Puran Singh was born in Rajewal (Rohno) Ludhiana district, Punjab. Born into a Hindu family, he was given the name Ramji Das as a child. Later, while still a child, he chose to become a Sikh. Though he never finished his basic schooling, he became a writer, a (self) publisher, an environmentalist, and a philanthropist. He is perhaps best remembered for the home he founded in Amritsar, India, named Pingalwara, a home which long after his death, is still tending to the castaways of society: the sick, disabled and abandoned forlorn people.

Weerahannadige Francisco Fernando alias Puran Appu is one of the notable personalities in Sri Lanka's history. He was born on 7 November 1812 in the coastal town of Moratuwa. He left Moratuwa at the age of 13 and stayed in Ratnapura with his uncle, who was the first Sinhalese proctor, and moved to the Uva province. In early 1847, he met and married Bandara Menike, the daughter of Gunnepana Arachchi in Kandy. He was captured by the British after the failure of Matale Rebellion along with Gongalegoda Banda and Ven. Kudapola Thera. He was executed by a firing squad on August 8, 1848. His body was buried in Matale.

Puran Bhagat was a Punjabi ascetic and prince of Sialkot. As per unauthenticated history, he had been exiled and lived the last days of his life in a village located in the suburbs of Sialkot city. His temple and water well is still open for visitors and devotees.
Hinglajgarh or Hinglaj Fort is an ancient fort situated near village Navali in Bhanpura tehsil of Mandsaur district in Madhya Pradesh. Its coordinates are latitude 25°30' N and Longitude 65°31' E. It is situated 165 km from Mandsaur town and 26 km from Bhanpura town in Madhya Pradesh. This fort was at its peak of grandeur during Parmara rule. There are many artistic sculptures of various periods in this fort. The Nandi and Uma-Maheshwar sculptures were sent from there to France and Washington for display in India festivals and left a mark at international levels. The Hinglajgarh was the centre of excellence in craftsmanship of sculptures for about 800 years. The statues recovered from this fort are from the Guptas period to Parmara period. The most ancient statues are from 4th–5th century AD.
Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! is a 2008 Indian comedy film starring Abhay Deol, Paresh Rawal, Neetu Chandra, Manu Rishi, Richa Chadda, Manjot Singh and Archana Puran Singh. It was directed by Dibakar Banerjee. The film won the National Film Award for Best Popular Film. The film is inspired by the real life shenanigans of Devinder Singh alias Bunty, a real-life "super-chor", originally from Vikaspuri, Delhi.

Gyara Hazar Ladkian is a 1962 Indian Hindi-language romantic social drama film directed by K. A. Abbas. The film was co-produced by the poet Ali Sardar Jafri, who also helped co-write the story with Abbas. Produced under the Film Friends banner, it had music by N. Datta. The director of photography was Ramchandra. The cast included Bharat Bhushan, Mala Sinha, Murad, Nadira and Helen.
Kaliprasanna Vidyaratna was an Indian scholar of Sanskrit, academician and author. He was the principal of the Sanskrit College between 1908 and 1910. Vidyarayna played an important role in the revival of Sanskrit language.
Belanagar railway station is a Kolkata Suburban Railway station on the Howrah–Bardhaman chord line operated by Eastern Railway zone of Indian Railways. It is situated at Bally Jagachha Block, Belanagar in Howrah district in the Indian state of West Bengal. Number of EMU trains stop at Belanagar railway station. This railway station is named after Bela Mitra, a freedom fighter and social activist. This was the first Railway station in India named after any Indian woman.
