Karindara is a small village in the Martung tehsil of Shangla District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. [1] Karindara's history dates back to 1905 when Salarzai tribes migrated from Jawor district, Buner.[ citation needed ] It has a population of over 7,000.[ citation needed ] Situated approximately 5 km from Martung Bazar, 110 km from Mingora, 65 km from Alpurai, and 375 km from Islamabad, its strategic location enhances its connectivity.[ original research? ][ tone ]

In terms of education, the literacy rate is approximately 73%, being notably lower among females due to the absence of girls' schools in the area. However, efforts are underway to address this gap.[ original research? ]

The village hosts two government schools, catering to primary and middle education. Many residents pursue careers abroad in Gulf countries and Europe, while others serve in various government capacities.[ citation needed ]
