Berlin is a town in Worcester County, Maryland, United States which includes its own historical Berlin Commercial District. The population was 4,485 at the 2010 census, and has since grown in population. It is part of the Salisbury, Maryland-Delaware Metropolitan Statistical Area.
Queponco is a historic United States railway station located at 8378 Patey Woods Road, Newark, Worcester County, Maryland. Constructed by the Pennsylvania Railroad, the Queponco railway station served Snow Hill, Berlin and Newark communities. The station closed in the 1960s.
St. Martin's Episcopal Church is a historic Episcopal church located on Route 113 at the intersection with Route 589 in Showell, Worcester County, Maryland. Much of the original Flemish bond brick structure is retained. Built as the first parish church of Worcester Parish, which had been established in 1753, it was started in 1756 and completed in 1759. Attendance dwindled after St. Paul's Episcopal Church was established in nearby Berlin in 1824, and by the end of the century the facility was used only sporadically.

The Lonaconing Historic District is a national historic district in Lonaconing, Allegany County, Maryland. It comprises 278 buildings and structures consisting of a variety of 19th and early-20th century commercial, industrial, and residential buildings. These structures identify with the development of Lonaconing as a center of the iron, coal, and silk industries in the George's Creek Valley of Western Maryland. It includes a group of 40 late-19th and early-20th century brick or frame commercial structures, including a hotel, bank, three dry goods stores, and numerous other shops and warehouses, mostly constructed after a fire which devastated downtown in 1881.

Caleb's Discovery is a historic home located two miles west of Berlin, Worcester County, Maryland. The house consists of two sections, the 1+1⁄2-story kitchen wing, dating from the early 18th century, and the 2+1⁄2-story living room wing, dating from about 1820. It is a good illustration of the incorporation of an early house into a later structure without the loss of the earlier building's identity.
Fassitt House is a historic home located at Berlin, Worcester County, Maryland, United States. It is a 1+1⁄2-story Flemish bond brick house erected about 1669 on property bordering Sinepuxent Bay. The main side features a carefully laid decorative checkerboard brick pattern. The interior features fine examples of Georgian raised-panel woodwork finish in the first-floor rooms. The property includes two historic outbuildings, a shingled frame smokehouse and a log corncrib, and a modern one-story guest house.

Henry's Grove is a historic home located at Berlin, Worcester County, Maryland, United States. It was built in 1792, and is a 2+1⁄2-story gable-roofed brick house with all walls laid in Flemish bond. The house retains virtually all of its original interior detailing. Also on the property are a 20th-century frame tenant house and four frame outbuildings. It was built for a planter, John Fassitt, whose initials and the date 1792 are inscribed on a plaque in a gable end.
Williams Grove is a historic home located at Berlin, Worcester County, Maryland, United States. It is a two-story, three-part house built in three principal stages. The construction sequence began about 1810 with a two-story, two-bay frame house with a single-story wing, that forms the center of the house. The house was expanded first during the mid 19th century and in the early 1970s, a two-story kitchen and garage wing was added. The exterior is covered with cypress shingles.
Merry Sherwood is a historic plantation house located at Berlin, Worcester County, Maryland, United States. It is a massive, three-story, five-bay, double-pile, frame dwelling, built about 1859 in the Italianate style. The house is topped by a flat roof, projecting cornice, and a large cupola. The roof of the cupola is capped with a pointed wooden spire. It is current operated as wedding and special event venue.

It is an example of a type of prosperous river town that characterized the region during the period, which retains an exceptional collection of 19th and 20th century building forms.
Buckingham Archeological Site is an archaeological site near Berlin in Worcester County, Maryland. It is one of the few known Woodland period village sites in the coastal marsh areas of the Atlantic Coast section of Maryland. The site falls within the general vicinity of an Assateague Indian town. It is located four miles east of the Sandy Point Site, both including the southernmost reported occurrence of Townsend Series ceramics on the coastal section of the Eastern Shore.
The Emmitsburg Historic District is a national historic district in Emmitsburg, Frederick County, Maryland. The district is predominantly residential and includes most of the older area of the town extending along Main Street and Seton Avenue. Also included are several commercial buildings and churches interspersed among the dwellings. The buildings are primarily two-story sided log or brick, dating from the late 18th to the mid 19th centuries. Some later 19th century buildings in this area include some large Italianate-influenced buildings forming the northeast and southeast corners of the main square; an area destroyed by fire in 1863. Settlement began in the region during the 1730s, bringing Protestant Germans and Scotch-Irish from Pennsylvania, as well as English Catholics from Tidewater Maryland.

Major architectural styles represented include Period Revival and Art Deco/Streamline Moderne. The District includes 962 resources contribute to its significance. It includes the only two housing developments built by the United States Shipping Board Merchant Fleet Corporation (EFC) in Maryland during World War I and reflects experimentation with Garden City planning ideals. Many of the buildings within the District represent the work of noted Baltimore architect Edward L. Palmer, Jr.

It is a historically African-American residential community which developed between 1867 and the mid-1940s. Winters Lane is located between Frederick Road and the Baltimore National Pike. It is composed mainly of single-family dwellings augmented by a few commercial, social, or religious resources. The district contains 155 properties, including 141 residential properties, two former schools, three commercial buildings, three social clubs, and five churches or church-related buildings.
