José Luis Doreste Blanco is a Spanish sailor and Olympic champion. He was born in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Las Palmas. He competed at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul, where he won a gold medal in the Finn class. In 1998–99, he was a crewmember on Fortuna Extra Lights in the Whitbread Round the World Yacht Race.
Antón Paz Blanco is a Spanish sailor. With his partner Fernando Echavarri he won a gold medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. The two also competed at the 2004 Olympics in Athens, where they finished eighth. He is from the town of Vilagarcia de Arousa, Galicia, Spain.

Henrique "Kiko" Pellicano is a Brazilian sailor. He won the bronze medal in the Tornado Class at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta along with Lars Grael. Pellicano hails from a family of sailors, with his sister Márcia being a veteran of three Olympics who won a gold medal at the 1995 Pan American Games. He has competed in many long-distance sailing competitions, including the Volvo Ocean Race 2005-06 on the boat Brasil 1.
Patrícia da Costa Freitas is an American-born Brazilian windsurfer, who specialized in Neil Pryde RS:X class. She represented Brazil in three editions of the Olympic Games and captured her first ever individual title in her sailing career at the 2011 Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mexico. Holding dual citizenship between Brazil and the United States, Freitas currently resides in Rio de Janeiro, where she sails and trains for the Rio de Janeiro Yacht Club under her personal coach and mentor Lucas Souza. As of September 2013, Freitas is ranked as one of the top ten sailors in the world for the sailboard class by the International Sailing Federation, following her successes at the South American and World Championships in her home nation.
Petrus Reininus Johannes "Peter" van Niekerk is a sailor from the Netherlands, who represented his country for the first time at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney. With Roy Heiner as helmsman and Dirk de Ridder as fellow crew member, Van Niekerk took the 4th place in the Soling. In the 2004 Olympics in Athena Van Niekerk made his second Olympic appearance. This time in the Star with Mark Neeleman as helmsman. They took 14th place.

Frederico Ricciardi Pinheiro de Melo is a Portuguese sailor, who specializes in heavyweight one-person dinghy (Finn) and two-person keelboat (Star) classes. He represented his nation Portugal, along with his partner and three-time Olympian Afonso Domingos, at the 2012 Summer Olympics, and has trained throughout his sailing career with Cascais Naval Club in his current residence Cascais, under his personal coach Andy Zawieja. Born and raised in the United States, Melo also held a dual citizenship to compete internationally for his parents' homeland in sailing. As of June 2015, Melo was ranked twentieth in the world for the heavyweight one-person dinghy class by the International Sailing Federation.
Mirpuri Foundation Racing Team is a Volvo Ocean 65 yacht. Under Chinese sponsorship she finished third in the 2014–15 Volvo Ocean Race skippered by Charles Caudrelier and then went on to win the 2017-2018 edition, which started in Alicante, Spain, and ended in The Hague, in the Netherlands.
Turn the Tide on Plastic is a Volvo Ocean 65 yacht. As Team Vestas Wind, she finished seventh in the 2014–15 Volvo Ocean Race skippered by Chris Nicholson.
Christopher John "Chris" Nicholson is an Australian sailor who has competed in multiple Summer Olympics and Volvo Ocean Races and has won six World championships.
