The Berry Houses are a housing project located in the Dongan Hills neighborhood of Staten Island in New York City. The project consists of eight six-story buildings, containing 506 apartments and housing approximately 1,000 residents. The 13.89-acre development is bordered by Richmond Road, Dongan Hills Avenue, Seaver Avenue, and Jefferson Street. It is owned and managed by New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) and was built in 1950. [1] [2]
The 1940s saw public housing expand to Staten Island, and the Berry Houses were completed on October 30, 1950. [1] [3] It was designed by Alfred Mosher Butts [4] and named after Brig. Gen. Charles W. Berry (1871–1941), who was both a soldier and a physician. [1]
The Berry Houses are one of three public housing complexes located in Staten Island's 122nd Police Precinct.[ citation needed ]
Dongan Hills is a neighborhood located within the New York City borough of Staten Island. It is on the Island's East Shore. Dongan Hills is bounded by Laconia Avenue on the southeast, Jefferson Avenue on the southwest, Richmond Road on the northwest, and Old Town Road to the north. It is adjacent to New Dorp and Grant City to the southwest, Todt Hill to the northwest, Old Town/Concord to the northeast, and South Beach and Midland Beach to the southeast.

Breukelen Houses, also known as Breukelen or Brookline Projects, is a large housing complex maintained in Canarsie, Brooklyn, by the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA). Its main office is located at 618 East 108th Street, Brooklyn, NY 11236. It is bounded by Flatlands Avenue, East 103rd Street, Williams Avenue and Stanley Avenue. The community sits on 64.98 acres (26.30 ha) and consists of 1,595 apartment units inside 30 structures, all of which are either three or seven stories high. As of March 2008 the population was estimated to be 4,038.

The project is located between 93rd and 95th Streets with playground & ball courts from 95th-97th street, stretching from 1st Avenue to the FDR Drive.
Governor DeWitt Clinton Houses, also known as DeWitt Clinton Houses or Clinton Houses, is a public housing development built and maintained by the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) in the Spanish Harlem neighborhood of Manhattan. Clinton Houses is composed of six buildings, resting on a non-continuous campus with an area of 5.6 acres (23,000 m2). Five of those (I-V) are 18 stories high, and another (VI) is nine stories high. The six buildings have a total of 749 apartments, which house 1,823 people. Clinton Houses occupies the two blocks that are bordered by East 110th Street to the north, Lexington Avenue to the east, Park Avenue to the west, and East 108th Street to the south. It also occupies the western half of the two blocks that are bordered by East 106th Street to the north, Lexington Avenue to the east, Park Avenue to the west, and East 104th Street to the south, with the exception of a small part along East 106th Street.
The Mariners Harbor Houses are a public housing complex built and operated by the New York City Housing Authority and located in the Mariners Harbor neighborhood of Staten Island, New York City. It was completed on August 31, 1954. Consisting of 22 three and six-story buildings it contains 605 apartments housing some 1,728 residents. It is bordered by Lockman Avenue, Roxbury Street, Grandview Avenue, and Continental Place. Brabant Street runs through the complex. It is located within the boundaries of Staten Island's 121st Police Precinct.
