The Parliament of India is the supreme legislative body of the Republic of India. It is a bicameral legislature composed of the President of India and the two houses: the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha. The President in his role as head of legislature has full powers to summon and prorogue either house of Parliament or to dissolve Lok Sabha. The president can exercise these powers only upon the advice of the Prime Minister and his Union Council of Ministers.

He was reelected in April 2018.
Sukhbir Singh Jaunapuria is an Indian politician and owner of a Gurugram-based real estate group. He is currently a member of parliament after winning the 2014 and 2019 Lok Sabha election from Tonk-Sawai Madhopur in Rajasthan as a candidate of the Bharatiya Janata Party. He defeated former member of parliament and former Indian cricket team captain Mohammad Azharuddin by a margin of 1,48,000 votes. In the recent 2019 Lok Sabha elections, he won by defeating ex-cabinet minister Namo Narayan Meena by 1,1100 votes. He was a former independent member of the Haryana Legislative Assembly in the Sohna Vidhan Sabha Constituency from 2004 to 2009. He won the Sohna seat independently by defeating political stars of the Congress Party and others.
Bhawani Singh was an Indian judge and politician from Rajasthan. A former jagirdar of Pokhran a feudal estate (thikana) in Jodhpur State of Rajasthan in pre-independent India, he became a member of the 1st Lok Sabha, the Lower house of Indian parliament from Barmer-Jalore constituency, after getting elected as an Independent candidate in the 1952 Indian general election.
Nirmal Chandra Jain was an Indian Politician and a Senior Advocate.He was elected to the Lok Sabha the lower house of Indian Parliament from Seoni in Madhya Pradesh in 1977 as a member of the Janata Party. Later on, he became the Advocate General of MP. Thereafter he continued his practise as a Senior Advocate. He then became the Member of Finance Commission of India. He was the Governor of Rajasthan in 2003.

He is a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and won the Indian general elections, 2014 from Pali Lok Sabha constituency, with a victory margin of over 4,00,000 votes and again won in 2019 with a margin of 5,00,000 votes.
Elections in the Republic of India in 2018 included by-elections to the Lok Sabha, elections to the Rajya Sabha, elections to of eight states and numerous other by-elections to state legislative assemblies, councils and local bodies.
