Bhaun (Urdu : بھون) is a town in Chakwal District in the Punjab province of Pakistan 12 kilometres away from the district capital Chakwal. [2] In 2007 Pakistan Railways announced the resumption of the Bhaun to Chakwal service. [2]

Mandra Junction Railway Station is located in Mandrah, Tehsil Gujar Khan, District Rawalpindi of Punjab, Pakistan. This station is located on the Karachi–Peshawar Railway Line. Mandra was a junction railway station from here trains go to Chakwal via Mandra–Bhaun Railway. Mandra railway station consists of two platforms. But now it is only a railway station, the status of junction has been ended since 1993.
The University of Chakwal (UOC) is a public university located in Chakwal, Punjab Pakistan. It was established in January, 2020 through the University of Chakwal ACT 2019 (Punjab Act No. I of 2020). An exalted chapter was added in the history of Pakistan as well as the Chakwal district, when the incumbent Minister for Higher Education Department, Govt. of the Punjab, Raja Yassir Humayun, presented the bill of establishment of "University of Chakwal" in the Punjab Assembly which was approved unanimously by combining Government Post Graduate College (Chakwal) and Old Kachehri Balkasar Sub-campuses of University of Engineering and Technology, Taxila.

Mandra–Bhaun Railway was one of several railway lines in Pakistan, operated and maintained by Pakistan Railways. The line began at Mandra Junction and ended at Bhaun, a village about 12 kilometres south of the Chakwal city, at the foothills of Salt Range. The total length of this railway line was 74 kilometres with 8 railway stations.
Thoha Hamayoun is a historic village of Chakwal District, Punjab, Pakistan, which is almost 15 km from the city of Chakwal, closer to another historic town named Bhaun. Nobody exactly knows when this settlement came into existence. Mair Minhas, Jatt Marath, Rajpout, Kahout Quraish were some early settlers, upon request of villagers some Syed families settled in as well. This small hamlet turned into a village with the passage of time. The village was named as Thoha Hamayoun with association to His early settler of Mair Minhas, Rajput clan, whose name was Hamayoun, a descendant of the ruler of Kashmir. The famous thing of the village is that once king humayoun the mughal ruler took refuge at this land while fleeing from Sher Shah's revolt. Nothing much is known about Mughal period and other rulers time. Many notable Army men, bureaucrats, teachers, doctors etc this soil produced. As listened by elder the worst time for the village was Sikh Raj (1801–1849), when the gangs of Sikh Bandits and their tax collector (Kárdár) used to extort the produce as they desired from the threshing-floor at the time of harvesting.
Talagang District is an administrative district of Punjab province of Pakistan. Formerly it was Talagang Tehsil within the Chakwal District; its status was raised to District in October 2022 by the government.
