Big Brother 2011 is the seventh season of the Finnish reality television series Big Brother . The season premiered on 31 August 2011, on Sub and the finale was aired on 11 December 2011. The show is produced by Endemol Finland Oy. The seventh season was confirmed on 8 March 2011, in a press release issued from Sub. [1]
Elina Viitanen and Susanna Laine both returned to host the show, though it was originally reported that Laine would not continue. Viitanen is the host of Big Brother Extra and Big Brother Talk Show, and Laine hosts Big Brother Talk Show alongside Viitanen. Viitanen also joined the House as a Guest Housemate on Day 70.

A housemate exchange happened between Big Brother Suomi and Big Brother Norge. 24 years old ambulance driver and a student Siv Anita from the Norwegian Big Brother house exchanged with Janica for a period of time.
Straw Swap (Oljenkorsi) is a competition, where nominated housemates compete with each other. The winner is allowed to do a swap where he or she chooses either herself or himself or somebody other nominated away from the eviction. The winner must choose a non-nominated housemate to replace the swapped person for eviction.

Big Brother México is a reality television series based on the international Big Brother format produced in the Netherlands by Endemol. Big Brother México was launched by Televisa in 2002. Before its debut, the idea of being watched twenty-four hours a day by a camera was shocking to some in Mexican society. The series was successful, and it was followed by a special edition called Big Brother VIP with Mexican celebrities from show business and even politics.
Big Brother Suomi is the Finnish version of the reality television franchise Big Brother. The Finnish adaptation was broadcast on Sub in Finland from 2005 to 2014.

The season was officially confirmed in 2008 as part of a millionaire contract between international Endemol and Rede Globo. The prize award was R$1,500,000 without tax allowances. The winner was a 37-year-old physical education teacher, Marcelo Dourado, from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul, who won with 60% of 154,878,460 votes cast, a worldwide record. He had previously appeared on Big Brother Brasil 4, when he finished in seventh place. Anamara Barreira and Elieser Ambrosio returned to compete as veterans in Big Brother Brasil 13, where they were placed 8th and 10th respectively.

The housemates are competing for a one million shekel prize. The house is located in Neve Ilan, a suburb of Jerusalem.

The tenth season of Big Brother Suomi premiered on 24 August 2014 and was screened on Sub. Mari Sainio continued as the main host for the program, known as Big Brother Talk Show, while Sauli Koskinen hosted the companion show Big Brother Extra. The previous season saw celebrities as contestants while this edition reverted to casting civilians as contestants. The contestants, also known as Housemates, lived inside the Big Brother House with the goal to be the last housemate and win €100,000. The program concluded on 14 November 2014 where Andte Gaup-Juuso was crowned the winner with 65.39% of the public vote to win. Big Brother Suomi went on a five-year hiatus after the conclusion of this season before being revived for an eleventh season that premiered on 1 September 2019 on Jim and Nelonen.

Megi Pojani hosted the spin-off show Big Brother VIP – Fans' Club, replacing Dojna Mema. Ardit Cuni was the new opinionist for the spin-off show Fans' Club. A 60-minute radio show Big Brother Radio was introduced this season, with Elona Duro as the host. Like in the first season, one week after the final of the show, was broadcast a reunion show, with the name Post Big Brother VIP. This season the show was broadcast only for two episodes and the two episodes were broadcast on 13 May 2023 and 20 May 2023. The show was hosted by Arbana Osmani, and the two opinionists were Arbër Hajdari and Zhaklin Lekatari.
