Big Brother Naija Season 7 also known as Big Brother Naija: Level Up was the seventh season of the Nigerian version of the reality show Big Brother. It premiered on 23 and 24 July 2022 on DStv channel 198/199 and GOtv channel 8/29. [1] [2] Ebuka Obi-Uchendu returned as the host for the 6th consecutive time. [3]
The headline sponsor of the show was Pocket by Piggyvest and the associate sponsor was Flutterwave. [4]
According to the organizers of the show MultiChoice, the winner of the season is expected to win a total of ₦100 million grand prize which includes a N50m cash prize and ₦50m worth of prizes from sponsors. [5] [6]
A virtual audition was held to select contestants for the show on 15 May 2022 to 30 May 2022. [7] [8] Interested contestants were told to record and submit a three-minute video stating why they should appear on the show. [9]

Big Brother Naija, formerly known as Big Brother Nigeria, is a Nigerian reality competition television series, based on the Big Brother television franchise, in which, contestants live in an isolated house and compete for a large cash prize and other material prizes, at the end of the show by avoiding being evicted from the house by viewers who vote for their favourite housemates to remain in the show.
Chukwuebuka Obi-Uchendu is a Nigerian media personality. He is known for hosting the reality show Big Brother Naija, the long running Rubbin' Minds talk show on Channels TV as well as co-hosting The Spot and Men's Corner on Ebonylife television. He is an ambassador for Budweiser Nigeria, Samsung Nigeria, and 2Sure Nigeria.

Big Brother Africa 5 was the fifth season of the Big Brother Africa reality television series produced by Endemol. The season premiered on Sunday, July 18, 2010 and was broadcast by M-Net and M-NetAfrica for 91 days, concluding on October 17, 2010 when Nigeria's Uti was crowned the ultimate winner. Each week the Housemates nominated two of their own and the public voted to either save or evict them until only 5 Housemates remained on finale night. The grand prize for this season was initially $200,000, however, due to the strike that took place on Day 6, the grand prize was decreased by ten percent meaning that the winner will now receive $180,000. Since that incident and toward the end of the series, the grand prize has been reinstated as $200,000 although this reinstatement was never formally announced to the housemates and the public. 14 African countries took part in this year's series, namely: Angola, Botswana, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe)
Big Brother Naija 2017, also known as Big Brother Naija: See Gobbe is the second season of the Nigerian version of the reality show Big Brother. It was launched on 22 January 2017 and is slated to end after 78 days. Ex-housemate Ebuka Obi-Uchendu from season one as the host. Two fake housemates, Jon Ogah and Ese Eriata were introduced halfway into the show to spice things up.
