    University of East London (UEL) is a public university located in the London Borough of Newham, London, England, based at three campuses in Stratford and Docklands, following the opening of University Square Stratford in September 2013. Two of the most important historical sites in Ghana, Elmina and Cape Coast Castle, are a few kilometers away from its campus.

    Presbyterian Boys' Secondary School (PRESEC) is a secondary boarding school for boys. It is located in Legon, Accra, Ghana. It was founded in 1938, under the auspices of the Presbyterian Church of the Gold Coast. The Basel missionary-theologian, Nicholas Timothy Clerk (1862–1961), who served as the first Synod Clerk of the Presbyterian Church of the Gold Coast from 1918 to 1932, used his tenure to advocate for the establishment of the secondary school. The school has ties with its sister schools, Aburi Girls' Senior High School and Krobo Girls Senior High School.

    The Central University is a Private university in Ghana, founded by the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC). It was founded as a pastoral training institute by Mensah Otabil in 1988. In June 1991, it was known as the Central Bible College. It later became the Central Christian College in 1993 and eventually became the Central University College in 1998. In 2016, Central University College attained the status of a fully-fledged University thus now Central University. The stated aims of the university is to provide an "integrated and biblically-based tertiary education with particular reference to the needs of the African continent". It is currently the biggest private university in Ghana.

    <span class="mw-page-title-main">Mfantsiman Municipal District</span> Municipal District in Central, Ghana

    Mfantsiman Municipal Assembly is one of the twenty-two districts in Central Region, Ghana. Originally created as an ordinary district assembly in 1988 when it was known as Mfantsiman District, which was created from the former Mfantsiman District Council; until it was later elevated to municipal district assembly status on 29 February 2008 to become Mfantsiman Municipal District. However, on 28 June 2012, the eastern part of the district was split off to create Ekumfi District; thus, the remaining part has been retained as the Mfantsiman Municipal Assembly. The municipality is located in the southwest part of Central Region and has Saltpond as its capital town.

    Kwasi Kwarfo Adarkwa is a Ghanaian academic and the a past Vice Chancellor of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). In 2008, he was selected by then President of Ghana, John Kufuor, for a national award in the field of academics.

    The University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) a public university located at Ho in the Volta Region of Ghana. UHAS is one of the youngest public universities in Ghana. Its operation started in September 2012, when the first batch of 154 students were admitted.

    <span class="mw-page-title-main">Kwesi Nyantakyi</span> Ghanaian banker and lawyer

    Kwesi Nyantakyi is a Ghanaian banker, lawyer and former football administrator. He was the president of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) from 30 December 2005 until 7 June 2018. Nyantakyi officially resigned a day later. However, four hours to the release of his resignation letter FIFA had issued a statement announcing his ban from all football related activities for a period of 90 days pending investigations. Circumstances surrounding his resignation include a video released by investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas in which Nyantakyi was found taking a bribe and purporting to have the ability to "take over the whole country". In an interview with Super Sports South Africa a few days after the video of the investigation was slated to go public, Nyantakyi denied any wrongdoing regarding match fixing. On 30 October 2018 FIFA officially issued a statement that officially bans Kwesi Nantakyi from football related activities for life. In October 2020, the ban was reduced to 15 years after a reconsideration by the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

    Professor Aba A. Bentil Andam is a Ghanaian particle physicist who was President of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences from 2017 to 2019. She is the first Ghanaian female physicist.

    Florence Abena Dolphyne is a Ghanaian linguist and academic. She was the first female professor and first female pro-vice chancellor of the University of Ghana.

    <span class="mw-page-title-main">Ken Kwaku</span> Ghanaian corporate governance expert

    Dr. Ken Kwaku is an international investment and corporate governance expert. In 2013 he was nominated together with the late President of Ghana, Prof. John Evans Atta Mills for the Africa Achievers Award. This recognition stemmed from his track record in the area of business development and the unearthing of leadership potentials across Africa. He is Ghana's Honorary Consular to Tanzania and a special adviser to the former president, H.E. Benjamin Mkapa.

    Kwesi Yankah is a Ghanaian academic, author, and university administrator. He is a professor of linguistics and oral literature specializing in the ethnography of communications. He has served as the Pro-vice-chancellor of the University of Ghana and the president of the Central University. The author of several books, he was inducted as a fellow of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1999. He is currently the Ghanaian Minister of State in charge of tertiary education.

    Emmanuel Kwesi Danso Arthur, known professionally as Kwesi Arthur, is a Ghanaian rapper, singer and songwriter from Tema. He rose to fame in 2017 with the hit single "Grind day" which received widespread acclaim and a co-sign from rap heavyweights Sarkodie and Medikal. In 2019, his second EP Live from Nkrumah Krom Vol II garnered more than 2 million streams in the first week of its release.

    Daniel Adzei Bekoe was a Ghanaian chemist and academic. He was Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ghana and also a former president of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences.

    Felicia Nuna Akosua Tawiah better known by her stage name Feli Nuna is a Ghanaian rapper, singer, songwriter director and producer. She signed her first record deal as 'Felly' with Lynx entertainment in 2012 and released her first official single 'Ghana Girl Swag' but disappeared off the scene for personal reasons and later resurfaced in 2015 under Beehyve Entertainment. Under Lynx Entertainment, she released ‘Ghana Girl Swag’ with the hit single "I like am". She then resurfaced with a new rebrand as Feli Nuna in 2015 under Beehyve Entertainment her former label with 'I like Am' and has been active since then. As a performer, she has exhibited on local and international platforms including The Ghana Music Awards Nominees Concert (2016 4Syte Music Video Awards , and performed on at Coke Studio Africa , Yaws Fashion Show, Asia-Africa Youth Festival.

    Thomas Kwesi Quartey born December 17, 1950, is a Ghanaian diplomat who has served as Deputy Chairperson of African Union Commission from January 30, 2017 to February 2021. He was Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration of Ghana from 2013 to 2016.
