Birds in Row is a French hardcore punk band that formed in 2009 in Laval and is composed of three members, "T.", "Q." and "B.". They signed to Deathwish Inc. in 2011 and released their debut album You, Me & the Violence in 2012.
Birds in Row formed in Laval, Mayenne in 2009. Two of the members formed Birds in Row one week after their previous band split up, and recorded their first song one week later. [4] The group chose the name because birds are able to fly around freely, however, "they very often decide to fly as a group or land on wires in a row. So, this for us represents how people could chose to be free, but always end up following their fellows to feel comfortable." [5] They chose the name 'Birds in Row' over 'Birds in a Row' because it sounded better to the group. [4] [5] They also chose to sing in English because they, "wanted to be understood by most of the people." [6]
The band's earliest releases include 2009's Rise of the Phoenix and 2010's Cottbus, two EPs released through Vitriol Records. [4] [7] Birds in Row had begun writing their debut album in late 2011. [4] Deathwish Inc. showed interest in reissuing their Cottbus EP, but the band offered the album they had been working on the time instead. [6] Birds in Row's signing was announced in November 2011, [7] and they finished recording their debut album by January 2012. [8] Also in January 2012, Vitriol reissued the group's early EPs as a compilation titled Collected. [9]
Birds in Row toured the United States with Loma Prieta in March 2012 [10] and with Touché Amoré, Defeater and Code Orange Kids in April 2013. [11] A music video for the song "Pilori" was released in June 2012, [12] and Birds in Row's debut album You, Me & the Violence was released on September 4, 2012. [13] Also in 2012, the band toured Europe with Converge and Rise and Fall in August, [14] and the UK in December. [15] In July 2013 they appeared at Fluff Fest in the Czech Republic for the first time, returning in 2015 and 2017. [16] Along with Glass Cloud and Rebuker, Birds in Row opened for the Chariot during their final tour in October/November 2013. [17]
In 2014, the Birds in Row posted a Facebook update explaining that the band had broken up, only to delete the post shortly after leading to confusion about the state of the band. They released a follow-up statement that explained Birds in Row was going through some changes and had not broken up. [18] Birds in Row later elaborated that the band was going through a "pretty brutal" line-up change. [19] Citing both an interest in learning to perform together with the new line-up and wanting to pay tribute to the people and labels who helped them achieve their level of success, the band decided to release a series of EPs and split releases in lieu of full-length follow-up to You, Me & the Violence., [19] [20] followed by the EP Personal War released through Deathwish [21] and a split release with WAITC — who are also from Laval, France — to be released through the French label Throatruiner Records. [22] According to the band, their lyrics deal with the "relationship[s] with people and how taking certain choices will affect your relationship with friends or people outside". [23]
The band released its second full-length studio album titled We Already Lost the World through Deathwish on July 13, 2018. [24] Coinciding with the album's official announcement in May 2018, the band released a lyric video for the track "15-38" online. Fred Pessaro of Revolver noted the track was a departure from the band's earlier material and that it was a "slow-burn emotional offering that grows deeper and darker as it progresses, eventually opening back up into the brand of heaviosity[ sic ] that the trio is most associated with." Birds in Row is a three-piece band with a guitarist/vocalist, a bassist and a drummer. The faces of the members are intentionally cropped out of promotional photographs and music videos, and the original individual members were usually only referred to by the single letter initials: B, D or T. [5] Birds in Row consciously make this effort in order to appear as a single entity rather than three individuals. [6] The band commented, "It's not about some individuals, but songs, ideas, points of view that our three lives have in common. So as we've been asked for promo pics for several reasons, we decided to crop them so all you can see is a band." [6] In 2014, the band went through a lineup change and D was replaced by Q. [19] [25]

Deathwish, Inc. is an American independent record label conceived by Jacob Bannon of Converge and Tre McCarthy in 2000. Their first release was Deeper the Wound, a split album between Converge and Japanese band Hellchild on April 23, 2001. Deathwish established itself quickly, working with a diverse group of bands and eventually becoming one of the most respected and innovative labels in contemporary hardcore punk and aggressive music in general.
Blue Sky Noise is the third studio album by American rock band Circa Survive, released on April 20, 2010 through Atlantic Records. It serves as the band's first release after departing from Equal Vision Records, and is a follow-up to their second studio album, On Letting Go (2007).
The Upsides is the second studio album by American rock band The Wonder Years, released through No Sleep Records and Run For Cover Records on January 26, 2010. The album was recorded with producer Vince Ratti at Skylight Studios in Fairless Hills, Pennsylvania. After being signed by Hopeless Records, The Upsides was later reissued in a deluxe edition featuring four new songs.
Deafheaven is an American post-metal band formed in 2010. Originally based in San Francisco, the group began as a two-piece with singer George Clarke and guitarist Kerry McCoy, who recorded and self-released a demo album together. Following its release, Deafheaven recruited three new members and began to tour. Before the end of 2010, the band signed to Deathwish Inc. and later released their debut album Roads to Judah, in April 2011. They established a unique style blending black metal, shoegazing, and post-rock, among other influences, later called "blackgaze" by reviewers.

Most of the group's early material was released on their own record label named Discos Huelga. Loma Prieta has toured the US, Mexico, Canada, Europe and Japan. They share members with Punch. Their often dark and emotionally charged music blends a range of styles, most prominently screamo and powerviolence.
Shed is the debut studio album by American rock band Title Fight. It was released on May 3, 2011, through SideOneDummy Records. It received positive reviews, garnering an 81 on review aggregator Metacritic. It debuted at No. 8 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart.

They were founded by Chris Hansen in 2006 and have released records by artists including Balance and Composure, La Dispute, and The Wonder Years. They have released free sampler albums on the internet on a number of occasions and the label closely associates itself with vegan lifestyle and the revived interest in vinyl record sales.
The untitled demo by the American black metal band Deafheaven was self-released by the band on June 1, 2010. The demo would later be remastered/re-released as an EP in 2012 through Sargent House.

When People Grow, People Go is the fourth and final studio album by American hardcore punk band Blacklisted. The album was released on February 10, 2015 through Deathwish Inc. When People Grow, People Go is the first release from Blacklisted since 2012's So, You Are A Magician? EP, and first full-length studio album since 2009's No One Deserves to Be Here More Than Me. Writing for the album began in late 2013 and sonically is described as being a mix of the band's more experimental styles and hardcore styles. In December 2014, Blacklisted previewed the track "Deeper Kind" for online streaming followed by a stream of "Burnt Palms" and a music video for "Turn in the Pike" both in January 2015.
Birds in Row / WAITC is a split EP between the French punk bands Birds in Row and WAITC. The EP was released on October 30, 2015 through the French label Throatruiner Records, with Deathwish Inc. handling wider distribution.
