Birdy is a fictional character, a mutant appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. [1] She was created by Jim Lee and Scott Lobdell and made her first appearance in X-Men vol. 2 #6. [2]
Birdy becomes the partner of Sabretooth. She uses her telepathy to help keep him calm. [3] Birdy accompanies Sabretooth while he searches for answers on who is trying to kill him and Mystique. [4] Mystique reveals that she gave birth to a son, Graydon Creed. [5] Later, Birdy is stabbed by Graydon. [6] The character was resurrected in 2022, becoming a counsellor for victims of disasters and the Marauders team. [7] [8]
Birdy is a mutant with the power of telepathy. She has achieved some level of skill, being capable of the standard feats of a mutant telepath (mind reading and manipulation, mental communication, psi-blasts, etc.). She is also able to use her telepathy to temporarily satiate Sabretooth's psychotic feral impulses (which he refers to as getting "the glow"). She is able to use 'the glow', combined with the powers of Somnus, to counsel the members of the Marauders inside their dreams, after the events of Judgment Day. [9]
Birdy is also highly skilled with advanced weaponry and explosive, capable of taking down massive groups of the Hand. [4]
