Video games

Gambit has made numerous appearances across a wide variety of video games. His first appearance came in Spider-Man/X-Men: Arcade's Revenge , [40] followed by a series of playable roles in the 1993 game X-Men and its sequel, X-Men 2: Clone Wars . He was also a prominent character in X-Men: Gamesmaster's Legacy , X-Men: Mojo World , and X-Men: Mutant Apocalypse . Gambit continued to feature in several fighting games, such as X-Men vs. Street Fighter and Marvel vs. Capcom: Clash of Super Heroes , where Tony Daniels lent his voice to the character. Daniels' portrayal of Gambit persisted through several more titles, including Marvel vs. Capcom 2 , X-Men: Mutant Academy series, and X-Men: Next Dimension .

In the X-Men Legends series, Scott MacDonald took over voicing Gambit, voicing the character in X-Men Legends and its sequel, X-Men Legends II: Rise of Apocalypse . [1] Gambit also made cameo appearances, including a non-speaking role in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance , though he returned as a fully playable character in Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 , voiced by Michael Dunn, with his Horsemen of Apocalypse form available as an alternate skin.

Throughout the years, Gambit has been a regular fixture in Marvel games, appearing as a boss in X-Men Origins: Wolverine with a stronger Cajun accent and fighting alongside or against iconic characters in games like Marvel Super Hero Squad Online , X-Men: Destiny , Marvel Heroes , and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order . [1] His likeness also pops up in various other titles, such as Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 , Deadpool , Lego Marvel Super Heroes , [41] and mobile games like Marvel Puzzle Quest , [42] Marvel Future Fight , and Marvel Contest of Champions . Gambit’s popularity have even earned him alternate skins in games like Fortnite , [43] and he remains a key character in card and strategy games like Marvel Snap and Marvel Super War . [44] [45]
