The West Bengal Legislative Assembly is the unicameral legislature of the Indian state of West Bengal. It is located in the B. B. D. Bagh area of Kolkata,the capital of the state. Members of the Legislative assembly are directly elected by the people. The legislative assembly comprises 294 Members of Legislative Assembly,all directly elected from single-seat constituencies. Its term is five years,unless sooner dissolved.

Sunil Singh is an Indian politician and a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly from Noapara in West Bengal,a seat which he won in February 2018 as an All India Trinamool Congress candidate. He was also the chairman of Garulia municipality till September 2019. He joined the Bharatiya Janata Party in June 2019. Singh left BJP by withdrawing from the municipal councillor candidature on 12 February 2022,after which he rejoined All India Trinamool Congress on 13 February 2022.

She was elected as the representative of the Gazole constituency in the 2016 West Bengal Legislative Assembly election as a candidate of the Communist Party of India (Marxist). In 2016,she switched her party to Trinamool Congress and in 2020,she switched to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).
Suman Kanjilal is an Indian politician from the All India Trinamool Congress. In May 2021,he was elected as the member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly from Alipurduar as BJP candidate. On 5 February 2023,he joined All India Trinamool Congress.
Biswanath Karak is an Indian politician from Bharatiya Janata Party. In May 2021,he was elected as a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly from Goghat (constituency). He defeated Manas Majumdar of All India Trinamool Congress by 4,147 votes in 2021 West Bengal Assembly election.
Arup Kumar Das is an Indian politician from Bharatiya Janata Party. In May 2021,he was elected as a member of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly from Kanthi Dakshin (constituency). He defeated Jyotirmoy Kar of All India Trinamool Congress by 10,293 votes in 2021 West Bengal Assembly election.
The Seventeenth Legislative Assembly of West Bengal constituted after the 2021 West Bengal Legislative Assembly elections which were concluded earlier on 29 April 2021 and the results were announced on 2 May 2021. The tenure of West Bengal Legislative Assembly is scheduled to end on 7 May 2026.
