Contests in most years were multi cornered but only winners and runners are being mentioned. Kamalakshmi Biswas of Forward Bloc defeated Dulal Chandra Bar of Trinamool Congress in 2001, [14] Kalidas Adhikari of Congress in 1996, [13] Ram Chandra Bose of Congress in 1991.
