Biyaheng Langit is a 2000 Filipino romantic comedy film directed by Tikoy Aguiluz. The film is set in a casino and stars Joyce Jimenez and Mark Anthony Fernandez.

Rating

The Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB), like previous Jimenez starrers Scorpio Nights 2 and Warat, gave the film an "X" rating for gratuitous love scenes. [2] The film, which was meant to be Fernandez's comeback movie, was later allowed by the MTRCB to be screened. [3]

Accolades

The film was nominated for six Gawad Urian Awards in 2001, including best director for Aguiluz, best screenplay, cinematography, editing, production design and sound, [4] but did not win. [5]

The film was screened in 2024 at the Far East Festival in Toronto. [6]

Segurista is a 1996 Philippine neo-noir drama film directed by Tikoy Aguiluz. The film was co-written by Aguiluz, Jose Lacaba, and Amado Lacuesta and stars Michelle Aldana as the title role. Segurista was screened at the Toronto International Film Festival and the Singapore International Film Festival. In its home market, the MTRCB did not approve this motion picture for public viewing, "X-rated", but later approved it with cuts for Philippine theaters.

Rustica Cruz Carpio was a Filipino actress, scholar, playwright, philanthropist, and public servant. Most notably an actress, she performed on stage, film, and television. She received acclaim for her role as Lola Puring in Grandmother, a film by Filipino director Brillante Mendoza which was selected to compete in various international film festivals, including Venice and Dubai. For her acting work in the said film, she was critically well-received, earning nominations and awards, winning the Gawad Urian for Best Actress, the Crystal Simorgh for Best International Actress at the Fajr International Film Festival in Iran, and the Las Palmas International Film Festival Best Actress award in Spain.
