Blaise Garrett Garza (born February 10, 1989) is an American actor and musician.
From 1994 to 1996, Garza played the role of Gregory Hudson, the son of John (David Forsyth) and Sharlene Hudson (Anna Kathryn Holbrook), on Another World . Garza's hiring was the first audition he had ever been on. He later appeared in various television commercials and was the poster child for White House Juice, appearing as "Jimmy Juice". After various commercials and industrials, Blaise was cast in his first feature film, Yukie (aka Solitude Point), in 1998, playing the grandson of Bo Svenson and Mitsuko Baisho. Blaise appeared in several more commercials before he was cast in his next feature film, All Over the Guy (2001), where he played a young Tom (Richard Ruccolo), and later in Drillbit Taylor (2008).
Garza completed an interdisciplinary undergraduate music degree at UCSD in 2011. Upon graduation, he collaborated with the Museum of Making Music—a division of the NAMM Foundation—on its exhibition "The Sound of Sax: How the Saxophone Won America's Soul". The exhibit featured rare and historical saxophones from the collections of Garza and Rob Verdi and ran until January 2013.
Garza's album Low Standards was released in 2012 to accompany the saxophone exhibit and features the E♭ and B♭ tubax and contrabass saxophone. [1] He also performed with the Green and Rebelution on their "Peace of Mind" tour in 2012 and played saxophone on Sly Stone's 2014 singles "One More Hit" and "Role Model". [2]
Garza has been performing with Violent Femmes since 2004 and is featured on their 2015 EP Happy New Year , on bass saxophone and piano, [3] [ better source needed ] as well as the albums We Can Do Anything (2016), playing contrabass, bass and baritone saxophone, [4] [ better source needed ] and 2 Mics & the Truth: Unplugged and Unhinged in America (2019), on baritone sax, cabasa and vocals. While touring with the Violent Femmes as part of the Barenaked Ladies' 2015 "Last Summer On Earth" tour, Garza joined Barenaked Ladies and former Men at Work frontman Colin Hay (who was also part of the tour) in performing "Who Can It Be Now?" every night. One of these performances is featured on the live album BNL Rocks Red Rocks (2016). [6]

Barenaked Ladies is a Canadian rock band formed in 1988 in the Toronto suburb of Scarborough, Ontario. The band developed a following in Canada, with their self-titled 1991 cassette becoming the first independent release to be certified gold in Canada. They reached mainstream success in Canada when their debut with Reprise Records, Gordon, featuring the singles "If I Had $1000000" and "Brian Wilson", was released in 1992. The band's popularity subsequently spread into the US, beginning with versions of "Brian Wilson" and "The Old Apartment" off their 1996 live album Rock Spectacle, followed by their fourth studio album Stunt, their breakout success in 1998. The album featured their highest-charting hit, "One Week", as well as "It's All Been Done" and "Call and Answer". Their fifth album, Maroon, featuring the lead single "Pinch Me", also charted highly. In the 2010s the band became well-known for creating the theme song for the sitcom The Big Bang Theory.
Violent Femmes are an American folk punk band from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The band consists of founding members Gordon Gano and Brian Ritchie, joined by multi-instrumentalist Blaise Garza, and drummer John Sparrow. Former members of the band include drummers Victor DeLorenzo, Guy Hoffman (1993–2002), and Brian Viglione (2013–2016). Violent Femmes are considered to be an integral part of the then-underground folk punk and alternative rock scenes of the 1980s, and remain influential or inspirational to the subsequent movements, particularly on folk rock, indie rock, grunge, pop punk, emo, and the late 1980s and 1990s alternative rock scene.

Everything to Everyone is the sixth full-length studio album by Barenaked Ladies. It was released in 2003 and was produced by Ron Aniello. The baritone saxophone is a member of the saxophone family of instruments, larger than the tenor saxophone, but smaller than the bass. It is the lowest-pitched saxophone in common use - the bass, contrabass and subcontrabass saxophones are relatively uncommon. Like all saxophones, it is a single-reed instrument. The tubax is a modified contrabass saxophone developed in 1999 by the German instrument maker Benedikt Eppelsheim. Although it has the same fingering as the saxophone, Eppelsheim's design reduces the amount of expansion of its conical bore in relation to the length of tubing, resulting in a smaller volume of resonant air column. This allows for it to use a smaller mouthpiece, and more compactly folded tubing. The tubax exists in E♭ contrabass and B♭ or C subcontrabass sizes. Its name is a combination of the words "tuba" and "saxophone".

Steven Jay Page is a Canadian musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He was a founding member, lead singer, guitarist, and primary songwriter of the music group Barenaked Ladies. Page left the band in February 2009 to pursue a solo career.
The contrabass saxophone is the second-lowest-pitched extant member of the saxophone family proper. It is pitched in E♭ one octave below the baritone saxophone, which requires twice the length of tubing and bore width. This renders a very large and heavy instrument, standing approximately 2 metres tall and weighing around 20 kilograms (44 lb). Despite this, it was used in marching bands in the early 20th century.
The bass saxophone is one of the lowest-pitched members of the saxophone family—larger and lower than the more common baritone saxophone. It was likely the first type of saxophone built by Adolphe Sax, as first observed by Berlioz in 1842. It is a transposing instrument pitched in B♭, an octave below the tenor saxophone and a perfect fourth below the baritone saxophone. The sopranino saxophone is the second-smallest member of the saxophone family. It is tuned in the key of E♭, and sounds an octave higher than the alto saxophone. A sopranino in F was also described in Adolphe Sax's patent, an octave above an F alto (mezzo-soprano), but there are no known built instruments.
Barenaked Ladies Are Men is the eighth full-length original-material studio album by Barenaked Ladies, and the second release of material from the 29-song session that bore the companion album Barenaked Ladies Are Me. The two albums were released together under the Are Me title in several "deluxe" release methods before Are Men received its own proper official release in February 2007. In this way, Are Me and Are Men together may be considered the band's seventh full-length original-material studio album. The album's artwork was created by Team Macho who also did similar artwork for the Are Me releases. The title is an extension of the Are Me title. During touring for the two albums, a pre-show video showed an unidentified hand adding various other extensions to the Barenaked Ladies Are Me title.

BNL Rocks Red Rocks is the third official live album from Canadian band Barenaked Ladies. The album was formally announced on 1 February 2016 via the band's official Twitter page and was released on 20 May 2016. It was recorded at Red Rocks Amphitheatre to promote the release of Silverball on the Last Summer on Earth 2015 tour, The band held a Last Summer on Earth 2016 tour with Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark and Howard Jones in conjunction with the new live album. This is the band's first commercial live release since the departure of Steven Page in 2009.
