Blue Bells Public School is a co-educational English-medium school located in Sector 10 Gurgaon, Haryana, India, serving students from nursery to Year 12. [1] [2] [3] The school became affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) during the 2010-2011 academic year. [4]

History

Construction of the school started in October 2000 and it became functional in 2003 with a total of 154 students. [4] The school contains a library; computer, science, and maths labs; sport facilities; an academic auditorium; and a nurse's station. [5] Blue Bells Public School annually hosts the Neernidhi: An Elixir of Life water conservation festival, which encourages thinking of water like an elixir with the aim of shedding light on its cruciality. [6] Other social events the school has held include Say No to One Time Use Plastic; [7] the Health & Wellness Fiesta, Empezar, which included a breast and cervical cancer awareness panel; [8] and tree planting to celebrate Van Mahotsav. [9] Learning Unbound, held in 2019, was an "academic carnival" meant to emphasize the interconnectedness between concepts.[ vague ] [10]

In 2015, a Blue Bells student came first in the under-12 girls' 300 metres time trial inline rink race and another came third in the under-16 girls' 300 metre time trial quads rink race at the CBSE Skating Championship. [11] In 2018, they came second in the Industrial Design Category in the Industrial Design Championship [12] and first runner-up in an international friendly cricket two-match series. [13] In 2019, Blue Bells came first at the International Robotronics Competition. [14]

NH 248-BB, commonly known as Dwarka Expressway is a 27.6 km (17.1 mi) long, under construction, 8-lane (elevated) and 8-lane, total 16-lane elevated grade separated expressway connecting Dwarka in Delhi to Kherki Daula Toll Plaza, Gurgaon in Haryana. The expressway takes off from km 20 milestone of NH 48 at Shiv Murti in Mahipalpur in Delhi and terminate at km 40 of NH 48 near Kherki Daula Toll Plaza in Gurgaon in Haryana. The Dwarka Expressway has been planned as an alternate road link between Delhi and Gurgaon, and is expected to ease the traffic situation on the Delhi-Gurgaon Expressway.

Pradyuman Thakur was a seven-year-old student at Ryan International School, in Gurugram, in the state of Haryana, India. His body was found with injuries to the neck outside a washroom at the school on 8 September 2017, and he later succumbed to his wounds. A bus conductor who provided assistance with carrying the injured Pradyuman was initially charged with the murder, and allegedly confessed to police, but was later found to be innocent. Four police officers were later charged with framing him for the murder. Following a transfer of the case to the Central Bureau of Investigation, an unnamed sixteen year old student from the same school has since been charged with his murder. The case is still going on, and the trial proceedings have not begun as of December 2021.
