Blue Exorcist is an anime television series based on the manga of the same name by Kazue Kato. The first season is directed by Tensai Okamura and produced by A-1 Pictures. [1] The season began broadcasting in Japan on MBS TV and TBS Television on April 17, 2011, and ended on October 2 of that same year. The series was originally scheduled to start airing on April 10, 2011, however due to the 2011 Tōhoku earthquake and tsunami, the series' initial broadcast was delayed by a week. [2] The episodes were simulcast with English subtitles online via Hulu, Anime News Network, and Crunchyroll, starting on April 20, 2011. [1] Aniplex of America released Blue Exorcist on DVD in four sets, starting with the first DVD on October 18, 2011. [3]
Four pieces of theme music are used for the episodes: two opening themes and two ending themes. The opening theme song for the first 12 episodes is "Core Pride" performed by Uverworld, [4] while the opening theme song from episode 13 onwards is "In My World" by Rookiez is Punk'd. The ending theme song for the first 12 episodes is "Take Off" by South Korean boy band 2PM, [5] while the ending theme song from episode 13 onwards is "Wired Life" by Meisa Kuroki.

Noitamina is a Japanese programming block on Fuji TV devoted to anime, originally broadcast every Thursday late night/Friday morning from 0:45 to 1:15 JST. It was launched with the intention of expanding the target audience beyond the typical young male demographic. The block debuted in April 2005 as a half-hour block. All anime production under the block are joint-venue by Fuji TV, Dentsu and usually Sony Music Entertainment Japan or its subsidiary Aniplex.
Uverworld is a Japanese rock band consisting of six members and originating from Kusatsu, Shiga. They have released eleven studio albums and over thirty singles and have sold over three million records worldwide.
Blue Exorcist is a Japanese dark fantasy manga series written and illustrated by Kazue Kato. The story revolves around Rin Okumura, a teenager who discovers that he and his twin brother Yukio are the sons of Satan, born from a human woman, and he is the inheritor of Satan's powers. When Satan kills their guardian, Rin enrolls at True Cross Academy to become an exorcist under Yukio's tutelage in order to defeat Satan.
Star Driver also known as Star Driver: Kagayaki no Takuto is a Japanese anime television series created and animated by Bones. It was broadcast for twenty-five episodes on MBS and TBS from October 2010 to April 2011. The anime was licensed in North America by Aniplex of America and was streamed with English subtitles on Hulu, Crackle and Crunchyroll. A compilation film was released on February 9, 2013 in Japan by Shochiku.
"Wired Life" is the fifth single by Japanese recording artist Meisa Kuroki. It was released on August 31, 2011, four months following the release of "One More Drama", as the second single from Kuroki's forthcoming second studio album. The single was issued in three formats: limited CD+DVD edition, limited Blue Exorcist edition and standard CD-only edition.
Twin Star Exorcists is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Yoshiaki Sukeno. The manga has been serialized in Shueisha's shōnen manga magazine Jump Square since October 2013, with individual chapters collected into thirty-two tankōbon volumes as of September 2023. The story revolves around Rokuro Enmado and Benio Adashino, a pair of young and talented exorcists, who are destined to marry and have a child that will be the ultimate exorcist. The manga series has been licensed for an English language release in North America by Viz Media, publishing the first volume in July 2015.
Blue Exorcist: The Movie is a 2012 Japanese animated film based on Blue Exorcist manga series by Kazue Kato. The film is produced by A-1 Pictures and directed by Atsushi Takahashi from a script written by Reiko Yoshida. It follows Rin Okumura meeting a demon boy, who is connected to the ongoing festival at True Cross Academy.
Kaguya-sama: Love Is War is a 2019 Japanese anime series, based on the manga series of the same title, written and illustrated by Aka Akasaka. The anime television series adaptation was announced by Shueisha on June 1, 2018. The series was directed by Mamoru Hatakeyama and written by Yasuhiro Nakanishi, with animation by A-1 Pictures. Yuuko Yahiro provided the character designs, while Jin Aketagawa served the sound director and Kei Haneoka composed the series' music. The series premiered from January 12 to March 30, 2019, broadcasting on MBS, Tokyo MX, BS11, GTV, GYT, CTV, and TeNY. The series ran for 12 episodes. Masayuki Suzuki, Rikka Ihara, and Yoshiki Mizuno performs the series' opening song "Love Dramatic feat. Rikka Ihara", while Halca performs the series' ending theme song "Sentimental Crisis."
Blue Exorcist: Kyoto Saga is the second season of the Blue Exorcist anime television series, produced by A-1 Pictures. It is based on the manga series of the same name by Kazue Kato. Koichi Hatsumi replaced Tensai Okamura as series director. The second season aired from January 7 to March 24, 2017, on MBS's Animeism programming block.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is a Japanese anime television series based on Koyoharu Gotouge's manga series of the same name. An anime series adaptation produced by Ufotable was announced in Weekly Shōnen Jump on June 4, 2018. The first season, also known as Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc, adapts the first seven volumes of the manga and aired from April 6 to September 28, 2019, on Tokyo MX, GTV, GYT, BS11, and other networks. Haruo Sotozaki directed the anime with scripts by the Ufotable staff. Yuki Kajiura and Go Shiina composed the music, and Akira Matsushima is the character designer. Hikaru Kondo is the producer.
Kazue Kato is a Japanese manga artist. She debuted in 2000 with a one-shot in Akamaru Jump before publishing a full series in Monthly Shōnen Sirius. Following that series completion, she launched Blue Exorcist in Jump Square.
The Misfit of Demon King Academy is an anime television series based on the light novel series of the same title written by Shu and illustrated by Yoshinori Shizuma. The adaptation was announced at the "Dengeki Bunko Aki no Namahōsō Festival" event on October 6, 2019. The anime was originally set to premiere in April 2020, but it was delayed until July 2020 due to production complications resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. The series was animated by Silver Link and directed by Masafumi Tamura, with Shin Oonuma serving as chief director. Jin Tanaka handled the series composition, while Kazuyuki Yamayoshi designed the characters, and Keiji Inai composed the music. The 13-episode anime aired from July 4 to September 26, 2020. Civilian performed the opening theme "Seikai Fuseikai", while Tomori Kusunoki performed the ending theme "Hamidashimono" (ハミダシモノ). Crunchyroll streamed the series. On September 4, 2020, Aniplex of America announced that the series would receive an English dub, which premiered the following day.
Blue Exorcist: Shimane Illuminati Saga is the third season of the Blue Exorcist anime television series. It is based on the manga series of the same name by Kazue Kato. Studio VOLN took over from A-1 Pictures as animation producer, with Daisuke Yoshida replacing Koichi Hatsumi as series director. The third season aired from January 7 to March 24, 2024, on Tokyo MX and other networks.
