Bolley L. "Bo" Johnson (born November 15,1951) is an American politician from the state of Florida. A member of the Democratic Party,Johnson was a member of the Florida House of Representatives,and served as the Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives. [4]
Johnson is from Milton,Florida. His father and grandfather served as county commissioners for Santa Rosa County,Florida. Johnson graduated from Milton High School,and became the first member of his family to attend college. He received his bachelor's degree from Florida State University. [5]
Johnson volunteered for Mallory Horne when Horne served as the president of the Florida Senate. At the age of 22,Johnson met Lawton Chiles,then a member of the United States Senate,who hired him as a legislative aide in 1973. [5] [6]
Johnson was elected to the Florida House of Representatives,representing the 4th district from November 7,1978,to November 3,1992. He also served the 1st district from November 3,1992,to November 8,1994. [5] He became the Speaker of the Florida House of Representatives in 1992.
In 1999,Johnson and his wife were convicted of tax evasion,for failing to report income earned from consulting with Bally Entertainment. [7] He was sentenced to two years in prison,while Judi was sentenced to 15 months. [8] They began serving their sentences on August 30. [9]
He decided not to run for re-election to the Florida House in 1994. [10] He opted not to run for the United States House of Representatives. [11] After leaving politics,Johnson moved to Pensacola,Florida,where he worked as a real estate broker. [12]
In 1999 Bolley "Bo" Johnson was convicted of tax evasion along with his wife Judi. According to court documents they failed report $452,675 in consulting fee income. Both of them served 15 months in federal prison. [13]
Johnson and his wife,Judi,have a daughter. A niece also lived with them as a child. [9] Johnson is a Methodist.

The Garcon Point Bridge is a 2-lane toll bridge in Santa Rosa County,in the Florida panhandle. The bridge generally runs north - south and connects U.S. Route 98 east of Gulf Breeze,Florida to Interstate 10 and U.S. Route 90 west of Milton,Florida. The road and bridge uses the TOLL 281 shield on signage from US 98 to I-10. North of I-10 the road is signed solely as State Road 281. Exit signs on I-10 display both the State Road 281 and TOLL 281 shields. The bridge crosses East Bay,a large section of Pensacola Bay and serves as an evacuation route during hurricanes.

Lakeland Senior High School,opened in 1902,is the oldest public high school in Lakeland,Florida,United States. The school was originally located on North Florida Avenue and was destroyed by fire in 1927. It is part of Polk County Public Schools. Lakeland Senior High School was the original high school in the city. It also shares its campus with Lois Cowles Harrison Center for the Visual and Performing Arts. Harrison students attend academic classes at Lakeland Senior High School.
Carpenter's Home Church was a prominent Pentecostal megachurch in Lakeland,Florida,affiliated with the Assemblies of God USA. Opened in 1985,the church claimed nearly 7,000 worshipers at its peak. The church closed amidst financial scandal and dwindling attendance. The remaining members became two separate congregations,one of which became prominent as the host of the Lakeland Revival in 2008. The property was purchased by Without Walls International Church of Tampa,Florida,and the facility became the home of their affiliate Without Walls Central Church. Without Walls experienced financial difficulties requiring them to sell their properties. The building was eventually acquired by developers and demolition commenced in March 2015. Today,nothing remains of the building.

Over the years the rivalry has spanned more than one hundred matches across eight soccer leagues and several tournaments,and involved nine different teams from the two regions of Florida. At times it has involved players,coaches,management and fans. Even the press has fanned the rivalry's flames at times. From 2010 through 2014,the winner of the regular season series automatically won the Coastal Cup as well. The status of the rivalry beyond 2016 remains unclear because the Rowdies have since joined the United Soccer League,while the Strikers ongoing ownership and legal battles of 2016 and 2017 have left them defunct.
The 1971 Tampa Spartans football team represented the University of Tampa in the 1971 NCAA College Division football season. It was the Spartans' 35th season. The team was led by head coach Bill Fulcher,in his first year,and played their home games at Tampa Stadium in Tampa,Florida. They finished with a record of six wins and five losses (6–5). Fulcher was hired on January 7,1971,to serve as the replacement for Fran Curci who resigned to become the head coach at Miami.

The 1974 United States Senate election in Florida was held on November 5,1974. Incumbent Senator Edward Gurney,a Republican,declined to seek a second term after being indicted for taking bribes in return for his influence with the Federal Housing Administration. The primary for the Republican nomination pitted Eckerd drug store owner Jack Eckerd against Florida Public Service Commissioner Paula Hawkins. Eckerd won handily,receiving approximately 67.5% of the vote. The Democratic primary,however,was a crowded field with eleven candidates vying for the nomination. Because no candidate received a majority of the votes,U.S. Representative Bill Gunter and Secretary of State of Florida Richard Stone advanced to a run-off election. Stone won by a small margin of 1.68%.
