Boris Veniaminovich Kaveshnikov (born 30 September 1974) is a Russian-Kyrgyzstani former middle-distance runner. He competed in the men's 800 metres at the 1996 Summer Olympics. [1] He became a Russian citizen in 2000. [1]

Volodymyr Stepanovych Holubnychy was a Soviet and Ukrainian race walker, who competed for the Soviet Union. He dominated the 20 kilometre race walk in the 1960s and 1970s, winning four Olympic medals from 1960 to 1972 and finishing seventh in 1976. He became Olympic champion in 1960 and 1968. He is regarded as one of the greatest race walkers of all time and competed at the Olympics on five occasions in 1960, 1964, 1968, 1972 and 1976.

Vasiliy Vladimirovich Khmelevskiy was a Soviet athlete who competed mainly in the hammer throw. He won a bronze medal at the 1972 Summer Olympics with a throw of 74.04 metres, behind compatriot Anatoly Bondarchuk and Jochen Sachse of East Germany. He also finished in third place at the national championships in 1971 and 1972. He achieved a personal best of 74.98 meters on 8 July 1975 in Minsk.

Boris Georgievich Kuznetsov, 23 February 1947 – 3 May 2006) was a Russian featherweight boxer. He won a gold medal at the 1972 Olympics and a silver medal at the 1974 World Championships. Domestically he won the Soviet featherweight title in 1972 and 1974 and placed second in 1970 and 1971. During his career he won 237 fights out of 249. He became the Honoured Master of Sports of the USSR in 1972 and was awarded the Order of the Badge of Honor in the same year. He graduated from Astrakhan State Pedagogical Institute in 1971 and later opened a boxing school in Astrakhan.

His daughter, Yelena Grishina, is also an Olympic fencer. Sergey Bida, Yelena's son and Boris's grandson, is a world champion fencer. Later he was a water polo coach. His son Yevgeny was also a successful water polo player.

Boris Vasilyevich Stolyarov was a Russian track and field athlete. He competed in the 110 m hurdles at the 1956 Summer Olympics and finished in sixth place. He won this event at the 1954 Summer Universiade and at the Soviet championships in 1956. He was selected for the 1960 Olympics, but could not compete due to a leg injury and helped the Soviet athletics team as a masseur. Around that time he briefly switched from athletics to boxing, twice becoming the heavyweight champion of Saint Petersburg.

Boris Fyodorovich Budnikov was a Soviet sailor. He won the silver medal in Soling in the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow along with Alexandr Budnikov and Nikolay Poliakov. Budnikov died on 26 April 2023, at the age of 81.

Yuriy Borisovich Dyachkov is a retired Soviet decathlete. He competed at the 1960 Summer Olympics but failed to finish. He placed sixth at the 1962 European Championships and won the national title in 1965 and 1966. Dyachkov is the son of the Olympic discus thrower Nina Dumbadze and athletics coach Boris Dyachkov.
