Boss Hogg Outlawz were an American hip hop collective from Houston, Texas formed and led by Slim Thug. The collective originally included Le$, Sludge Von, C. Ward, J-Dawg, Killa Kyleon, Sir Daily, Lil Ray, Young Black, Dre Day, PJ & M.U.G. (Deceased). [1] [2]

The group got its start with in 2001 when Slim Thug and E.S.G. released a collaboration album Boss Hogg Outlaws . In 2004, Slim assembled a group of Houston rappers and released the first Boss Hogg Outlawz album Boyz-n-Blue . In 2006, the group signed a deal with Koch Records (now E1 Music) and released a second album entitled Serve & Collect in 2007. The following year saw the release of Back by Blockular Demand: Serve & Collect II . The group returned in 2011 with a third Serve & Collect album though both C. Ward and Killa Kyleon had left the group and did not appear on the album. [3]

The following year, he made a guest appearance alongside Bun B on Beyoncé's 2005 single "Check on It", which peaked atop the Billboard Hot 100 and won an MTV Music Video Award. Capitalizing on this, he signed with Interscope Geffen A&M and the Neptunes' Star Trak Entertainment to release his debut studio album Already Platinum (2005), which peaked at number two on the Billboard 200. Furthermore, he made a guest appearance on Gwen Stefani's 2005 single "Luxurious", which peaked at number 21 on the Billboard Hot 100.

"Wood Grain Wheel" is a song by rapper Slim Thug. It was originally supposed to be the first single from his second album Boss of All Bosses, but the song failed to make the final cut. The song is produced by Houston producer Mr. Lee. Video cameo appearances were made by the whole Boss Hogg Outlawz and Lil Keke. A different version featuring PJ and Sir Daily appears as "Wood Wheel" on Serve & Collect.

Leroy "Mr. Lee" Williams produced all the songs on the album while DJ Yellaboy provided the chopped and screwed mix on disc two.

Tai Charles Carr, better known by his stage name Doughbeezy, is an American rapper from Houston, Texas. Active since 2010, he has released a number of mixtapes and collaborated with musicians such as Killa Kyleon, Bun B, Slim Thug, Devin The Dude, and Paul Wall. Doughbeezy won the “Best Rapper In Texas” competition three times, and in 2013 MTV Hive named him one of the "top 5 underground artists in Houston." A frequent live performer, he has toured with rappers such as Dom Kennedy, and is co-CEO of the music company Headwreckas Worldwide, along with company founder Al Hughes.

The MNRK Music Group discography has produced more Billboard hits than any other independent record label. MNRK Music Group was known as Koch Records from its founding in 1987 until 2009 and eOne Music from 2009 to 2021. In its early years, the record label signed many country, classical and rock acts, including artists Ringo Starr, Joan Baez, Chris Brubeck and Bob James. In the early 2000s, the label began to sign more hip hop acts and made deals with hip hop labels, releasing records by 2Pac, Tha Dogg Pound, Kurupt, Daz Dillinger and Gangsta Advisory. MNRK Music has had over 100 albums chart on the Billboard Independent chart and is the largest independently owned record label in the United States.

He was one of the in-house producers of Rap-A-Lot Records, and a founder and CEO of Noddfactor Entertainment.

Production was handled by Mr. Lee, G Luck, B Don, Donnie Houston, DJ Grim, Cy Fyre and June James. It features guest appearances from Boosie Badazz, Nikki Lactson and XO On The Beat. The album peaked at number 179 on the US Billboard 200.
