He initially gained mainstream attention for his contribution to the hit single by rapper Mike Jones,"Still Tippin'". In July 2005,he released his debut album Already Platinum,which reached number two on the Billboard 200 chart. That same year,he was featured on Beyoncé's single for the Pink Panther soundtrack,"Check on It",which reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100,and won the MTV Video Music Award for Best R&B Video.
"Check on It" is a song recorded by American singer Beyoncé. It was written by her,Swizz Beatz,Sean Garrett,Angela Beyincéand Slim Thug,and produced by Swizz Beatz. The song was supposed to be featured on the soundtrack for the 2006 film The Pink Panther,in which Beyonce co-starred as Xania. As it was ultimately not included on the soundtrack,the version with additional vocals from Slim Thug was placed on the 2005 Destiny's Child's greatest hits album #1's. Columbia Records released a remix version of "Check on It" featuring both Slim Thug and Bun B as the second single from #1's on December 13,2005.
