It features Bun B &Rick Ross and was produced by Clinton Sparks. The chorus,"Down in the dirty south,to be exact,gettin' money is a well known fact",is sampled from Bun B's verse on the song 'White Gurl' by E-40. The guitar is sampled from "So Wat'cha Want" by The Beastie Boys.

UGK was an American hip hop duo from Houston,Texas,more specifically a outskirt called Port Arthur,Texas,formed in 1987,by Chad "Pimp C" Butler and Bernard "Bun B" Freeman. They released their first major-label album,Too Hard to Swallow,in 1992,followed by several other albums charting on the Billboard 200 and Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums charts,including the self-titled Underground Kingz album,which contained their single "International Players Anthem " and debuted at number one on the Billboard 200,in August 2007. The duo has also been featured on hit singles by several other artists,such as "Big Pimpin'" by Jay-Z and "Sippin' on Some Syrup" by Three 6 Mafia. Pimp C founded UGK Records in late 2005. On December 4,2007,Pimp C died in his West Hollywood,California hotel room.
Bernard James Freeman,known professionally as Bun B,is an American rapper. He is best known as one half of the southern rap duo UGK,a group he formed in 1987 alongside Pimp C. Aside from his work with UGK,Bun B has released five solo albums,including 2010's Trill OG,which received the rare 5-mic rating from The Source.
Stayve Jerome Thomas,better known by his stage name Slim Thug,is an American rapper. He gained mainstream attention for his guest performance alongside Paul Wall on Mike Jones' 2004 single "Still Tippin'." The following year,he made a guest appearance alongside Bun B on Beyoncé's 2005 single "Check on It",which peaked atop the Billboard Hot 100 and won an MTV Music Video Award. Capitalizing on this,he signed with Interscope Geffen A&M and the Neptunes' Star Trak Entertainment to release his debut studio album Already Platinum (2005),which peaked at number two on the Billboard 200. Furthermore,he made a guest appearance on Gwen Stefani's 2005 single "Luxurious",which peaked at number 21 on the Billboard Hot 100.

It was released by Relativity Records as a single with "Give Me Tha Ass" as its b-side in 1997. The song is produced by The Beatnuts and features raps by Juju and Psycho Les. Juju begins the song with a verse about his "ghetto mentality," while Psycho Les raps a verse about partying and making music. Juju's verse was later sampled in the song "Dos Factotum" by Louis Logic,while Psycho Les' verse was sampled in "Bottom Feeders" by Smut Peddlers.
