Jason "Boudreaux" Byron Campbell Jr. (born August 15, 1998) is an American professional rodeo cowboy who specializes in bull riding. He competes in the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) and Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) circuits. He also competed in the now-defunct Championship Bull Riding (CBR) organization. In 2022 and 2023, he rode for the Carolina Cowboys during the PBR Team Series season. As of 2024, he rides for the Missouri Thunder.

Early and personal life

Campbell was born in The Woodlands, Texas. As an infant, his father gave him the nickname "Boudreaux" and it stuck. According to Campbell, it is very rare for people to refer to him by his birth name, Jason. When he was 12, he and his family moved to Crockett, Texas. [1] He went to Lovelady High School. [2] He was four years old when he started mutton busting. He won the Texas junior and high school state bull riding championships. He also enjoys heeling as a team roper. [3]

Career

Campbell qualified for the CBR World Finals during its final two years in 2017 and 2018. He was the 2017 PRCA Bull Riding Rookie of the Year and qualified for the PRCA's National Finals Rodeo from 2017 to 2021. He was also the 2020 PRCA Xtreme Bulls tour champion. In 2020, Campbell qualified for the PBR World Finals and scored the most points at the event, clinching both the PBR World Finals event average and the 2020 PBR Rookie of the Year title. [4] [5] [6] He won the 2021 PBR Velocity Tour Finals event and again qualified for the PBR World Finals that year. [7]

The day after the conclusion of the 2022 PBR World Finals, the inaugural PBR Team Series draft was held at Texas Live! in Arlington, Texas. Campbell was selected to ride for the Carolina Cowboys. [8] The Cowboys won the fifth event of the 2022 PBR Team Series season at Gambler Days in Austin, Texas; the hometown event of rival team, the Austin Gamblers. [9] The Cowboys were eliminated after the second day of the Team Series Championship at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, and ended up finishing in sixth place at the conclusion of the inaugural PBR Team Series season.

Campbell again qualified for the PBR World Finals in 2023.

The Carolina Cowboys were eliminated after the first day of the 2023 PBR Team Series Championship and ended up finishing in seventh place for that season.

In early 2024, before the start of the PBR Team Series season in the summer, Campbell was traded to the Missouri Thunder. [10]

Campbell qualified for his fourth PBR World Finals in 2024.

Richard Neale "Tuff" Hedeman is an American former professional rodeo cowboy who specializes in bull riding. He won the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) bull riding world championship three times, as well as the 1995 Professional Bull Riders (PBR) world championship. He also won the 1993 world championship for the now-defunct Bull Riders Only (BRO) organization. He is also one of the co-founders of the PBR and is known for having been one of rodeo icon Lane Frost's closest friends. Hedeman and the infamous bucking bull Bodacious had a few historic clashes. He later served as the President of the PBR and then the President and Ambassador of Championship Bull Riding (CBR). In 2018, he formed his own bull riding organization: the Tuff Hedeman Bull Riding Tour (THBRT).

Michael "Mike" Lee is an American professional rodeo cowboy who specializes in bull riding. He was the 2004 Professional Bull Riders (PBR) PBR World Champion. He competed consistently in said organization from 2001 through 2017. However, he announced his retirement from the PBR in November 2017. He then competed in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), Championship Bull Riding (CBR), and Tuff Hedeman Bull Riding Tour (THBR) circuits, but later mainly rode in regional semi-professional bull riding organizations for the next five years. In the summer of 2022, he announced on his Instagram page his return to the PBR. He would ride sporadically in the PBR in 2022 and 2023 before returning to the semi-pro circuit in 2024.

Kasey Hayes is an American former professional rodeo cowboy who specialized in bull riding, and competed on the Professional Bull Riders (PBR)'s Built Ford Tough Series tour. He is one of the few riders to come from the PBR’s minor league series and win his very first premier series event that same weekend. Hayes also briefly competed on the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and Championship Bull Riding (CBR) circuits. After suffering a major head injury early in his career, Hayes began riding with a protective face mask underneath his cowboy hat. However, by 2010, he was riding with a full helmet. He qualified for the CBR World Finals in 2005 and the PBR World Finals from 2006 to 2010 and 2014 to 2016. He retired from professional bull riding after the 2016 PBR season with pride. Hayes currently resides in Liberal, Kansas.

James Carroll "Jim" Sharp is an American former professional rodeo cowboy who specialized in bull riding. In 1988, he became the first bull rider in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA)'s National Finals Rodeo history to successfully ride each of his 10 bulls during the champion-crowning event. The record-breaking performance earned Sharp his first of two PRCA World Champion Bull Rider titles. He rode professionally for nearly 20 years, and was a co-founder of the Professional Bull Riders (PBR). He is considered among the most talented bull riders in history.

Bonner Bolton is an American fashion model and former professional rodeo cowboy who specialized in bull riding. He won the 2007 world championship for the now-defunct Championship Bull Riding (CBR) organization. He also competed in the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) and Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) circuits. He placed fourth at the PBR World Finals in 2015. He performed as a stunt double for Scott Eastwood in the movie The Longest Ride, being the only one of four doubles who managed to make a virtually eight-second ride on the PBR top ranked bull Rango for an ending scene. His bull riding career was cut short by a neck injury sustained during a dismount from a bull he had just finished making an 8-second ride on at a PBR Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) event in January 2016. He sustained a break to his C-2 vertebra. Bolton was temporarily paralyzed, but made a full recovery. The parent company, IMG, of the PBR made an offer to contract him as a fashion model in May 2016. Bolton now works steadily as a fashion model.

James William Harris, known as J.W. Harris is an American former professional rodeo cowboy who specialized in bull riding. He competed on the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), Championship Bull Riding (CBR), and Professional Bull Riders (PBR) circuits. He won the PRCA bull riding world championship four times at the National Finals Rodeo (NFR). Harris is the first bull rider since Don Gay to win four PRCA world bull riding titles. He is also the first since Gay to win three of them consecutively. Harris was also the 2014 PBR Rookie of the Year. In 2022, he was inducted into the Bull Riding Hall of Fame.

Since 2013, he has been a top contestant on the Professional Bull Riders (PBR) circuit, qualifying for the PBR World Finals every year since then. Since 2022, he has ridden for the Texas Rattlers during the PBR Team Series season. The Texas Rattlers won the 2023 PBR Team Series championship.

Jerome Carson Davis is an American former professional rodeo cowboy who specialized in bull riding. He competed in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA), in which he won the 1995 PRCA bull riding world championship. He also competed in the Professional Bull Riders (PBR), of which he was one of the founding members of said organization.
