The Bravado Brothers were an American professional wrestling tag team consisting of real-life brothers Harlem Bravado (born Chance Barrow on April 22, 1989) and Lancelot Bravado (born Houston Barrow on September 16, 1985). [3] The duo have worked for several independent promotions, including Ring of Honor, Chikara, and Full Impact Pro, and have also appeared in Japan for Pro Wrestling Noah.
In 2017, Houston retired from wrestling while Chance continued to compete on the independent circuit, mainly for Evolve Wrestling. In February 2021, Chance signed with WWE, [4] and currently performs on NXT under the ring name Andre Chase.
The Bravado Brothers of Harlem Bravado (Chance Barrow, born 1989) and Lancelot Bravado (Houston Barrow, born 1985) trained at Ring of Honor (ROH)'s Wrestling Academy under the tutelage of Delirious in 2008. [1] [2] [3] [5] [6]
The duo debuted for ROH in September 2009, and over the next several months they competed in dark matches, facing wrestlers including Tony Kozina and Anthony Nese. [3] Their first match as part of the main roster was at the 8th Anniversary Show, where they were defeated by The Kings of Wrestling (Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli). They entered the Tag Wars 2010 tournament, reaching the semi-finals before losing to the Dark City Fight Club of Kory Chavis and Jon Davis. Following losses to teams including Future Shock (Adam Cole and Kyle O'Reilly) and Grizzly Redwood and Andy Ridge, they developed a winning streak beginning in January 2011, which lasted until they were beaten by Future Shock at Supercard of Honor VI on May 21. At Tag Team Turmoil 2011, the Bravados entered the tournament to determine the next challengers to the ROH World Tag Team Championship. They defeated the Briscoe Brothers (Jay and Mark Briscoe), but lost to Future Shock in the final. [7] On September 17, the Bravado Brothers appeared on their first ROH pay-per-view Death Before Dishonor IX, when they were part of a three-way elimination match against The Young Bucks and Future Shock; the Bravados were the first team eliminated. [8] In November, the duo lost to the Briscoe Brothers in a qualifying match for the Survival of the Fittest tournament. [7] At the Final Battle 2011 pay-per-view, the Bravado Brothers were part of a tag team gauntlet match to determine the number one contenders to the ROH World Tag Team Championship, but were the first team eliminated by Caprice Coleman and Cedric Alexander. Following a tour of Japan, the Bravado Brothers returned to ROH at Unity in April 2012, defeating The Young Bucks. The following month, the pair challenged Wrestling's Greatest Tag Team (Shelton Benjamin and Charlie Haas) for the ROH World Tag Team Championship. They won the match by disqualification, and so did not win the championship. [7] They competed only sporadically for ROH throughout mid-2012, including a loss to Coleman and Alexander at Glory By Honor XI, which was their last ROH appearance. [10]
On November 12, 2011, they debuted for Chikara, losing to 3.0 (Scott Parker and Shane Matthews). [11] Throughout 2012, they made sporadic appearances for the promotion, including participating in the 2012 torneo cibernetico on November 18, as part of Team Kevin Steen. [11] On May 18, 2013, the Bravados returned to take part in the 2013 Tag World Grand Prix, but were eliminated in the first round by The Batiri (Kodama and Obariyon). [11]
In 2013, the duo began working for the Evolve promotion. On May 30, they defeated Maxwell Chicago and Sugar Dunkerton at Evolve 20 and the following day at Evovle 21, they defeated Derek Ryze and Andrew Everett. [12] [13] On June 2, at Evolve 22, they teamed with Everett in a loss to Dos Ben Dejos and Shane Strickland. [14]
In 2013, the Bravados also began working for Full Impact Pro (FIP). They debuted at Ascension in April, where they defeated Tommy Taylor and Kenneth Cameron, before attacking the FIP Tag Team Champions Dos Ben Dejos. [15] On July 5, at the Declaration of Independence internet pay-per-view, the Bravado Brothers won a three-way match against Dos Ben Dejos and KOA (Sugar Dunkerton and Aaron Epic) to win the FIP Tag Team Championship. [16] On November 16, the Bravado Brothers defeated The Young Bucks to win Dragon Gate USA's Open the United Gate Championship. [17] On December 6, they lost the FIP Tag Team Championship to Rich Swann and Roderick Strong. [18] On September 14, 2014, at Evolve 35, The Bravado Brothers lost the Open the United Gate Championship to Anthony Nese and Caleb Konley in a three-way match, also involving A. R. Fox and Rich Swann. [19] In 2017, Lance Bravado retired from wrestling thus disbanding the team. Harlem Bravado continued to wrestle on the independent circuit mainly for Evolve Wrestling before he signed with WWE in 2021. [4]
In January 2012 the Bravado Brothers moved to Japan for three months to train with and compete for Pro Wrestling Noah. [20] Lance's first match in Japan was against Yoshinobu Kanemaru in Korakuen Hall. [21] While at Noah, the pair mostly competed in singles matches, but also teamed up sporadically. They returned to Noah in January 2013. [22]
In December 2016, the Bravado Brothers appeared in the special Impact Wrestling episode "Total Nonstop Deletion" as entrants in the Tag Team Apocalypto for the TNA Tag Team Championship.
In 2018, Houston Barrow (Lancelot Bravado) was the Libertarian candidate for the District 65 seat in the North Carolina House of Representatives. [23] He placed third in the general election with 2,220 votes (7.74%), as the seat was held by the Republican Party, with Jerry Carter the overall winner. [24]
Wesley David Richards, best known under the ring name Davey Richards, is a retired American professional wrestler. Best known for his time in Impact Wrestling and Ring of Honor, and for several independent promotions, including Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and Full Impact Pro, he was previously signed to Major League Wrestling (MLW), where he was a former MLW National Openweight Champion.
Chris Spradlin, better known by his ring name Chris Hero, is an American professional wrestler and trainer. As of July 2023, he is signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) as a producer. Hero has worked for a number of independent wrestling promotions, including Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), Ring of Honor (ROH), Independent Wrestling Association Mid-South, Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) and Chikara, as well as Pro Wrestling Noah in Japan. Hero has had two stints in WWE, both as part of their development territory NXT, under the ring name Kassius Ohno. His second tenure with the company saw him work as a "player-coach" for the trainees in NXT and NXT UK.
Gran Akuma is an American retired professional wrestler, best known for his work in Chikara. He has also worked for Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), Dragon Gate USA and Full Impact Pro (FIP). In Chikara, he was a member of The Kings of Wrestling stable, while also being a part of Team F.I.S.T. with Icarus and Chuck Taylor. On November 17, 2006, Akuma and Icarus defeated Chris Hero and Claudio Castagnoli to capture the Campeonatos de Parejas.
Dustin Lee Howard, better known by the ring name Chuck Taylor, is an American professional wrestler. He is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW) where he also works as a coach. He is currently on hiatus due to an ankle injury. Known as "The Kentucky Gentleman" and "Sexy Chuckie T", he was a member of the Best Friends stable alongside original tag team partner Trent Beretta, Orange Cassidy, Kris Statlander, and Danhausen. Howard has wrestled on the independent circuit since 2002, most notably appearing for Chikara, where he held the Campeonatos de Parejas twice, and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG), where he is a former two-time PWG World Champion. He is also known for his work in larger national and international promotions like Ring of Honor (ROH) and New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW).

The Young Bucks are an American professional wrestling tag team consisting of brothers Matthew and Nicholas Massie, who perform under the ring names Matthew and Nicholas Jackson. As of January 2019, they are signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where they are also executive vice presidents and co-founders of the company. As performers in AEW, they are three-time and current AEW World Tag Team Champions, and were the inaugural and two-time AEW World Trios Champions with Kenny Omega as The Elite.

Edward McGuckin is an American professional wrestler, better known by the ring name Jigsaw. He is best known for his work on the independent circuit for promotions such as Chikara, Combat Zone Wrestling, Dragon Gate USA, Full Impact Pro, and Ring of Honor and has also made appearances for Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA), where he worked under the ring name Rubix. He is currently working most notably in the United Kingdom, where he predominantly appears for HOPE Wrestling.
Robert Goodwin, better known by the ring name Hallowicked, is an American professional wrestler. He has performed primarily in the Chikara professional wrestling promotion, where he started his career in May 2002. His accomplishments in the promotion include becoming the inaugural Young Lions Cup Champion, a one-time Campeon de Parejas, a two-time Grand Champion and the winner of the 2003 Tag World Grand Prix and 2012 King of Trios tournaments. He served as an assistant trainer at The Wrestle Factory, operated by Chikara founder Mike Quackenbush. Throughout his career he has also worked for promotions such as Combat Zone Wrestling, Dragon Gate USA, Evolve Wrestling, Full Impact Pro, Jersey All Pro Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla and Ring of Honor. He is known for his ghoulish looks and incoherent speech pattern.
John Anthony Nicholas Gargano is an American professional wrestler. He is currently signed to WWE, where he performs on the SmackDown brand. Gargano is best known for his time in NXT, where he became the first-ever NXT Triple Crown winner by winning the NXT Championship once, the NXT North American Championship for a record 3 times, and the NXT Tag Team Championship once. His popularity in NXT led him to be nicknamed "The Heart and Soul of NXT".
Jonathan Davis is an American professional wrestler, working for independent promotions including Dragon Gate USA, Full Impact Pro, and Evolve. Davis is a two-time former NWA World Tag Team Champion and a former NWA Florida Tag Team Champion as part of The Dark City Fight Club with Kory Chavis.
Kyle Richard Thomas Greenwood, better known by his ring name Kyle O'Reilly, is a Canadian professional wrestler. He is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling (AEW), where he is a member of The Conglomeration. He is also known for working in Ring of Honor (ROH) from 2009 to 2017, and WWE from 2017 to 2021, using the same ring name in both companies. He is a record three-time NXT Tag Team Champion, and was a founding member of The Undisputed Era.
The DGUSA Open the United Gate Championship was a tag team championship within the Dragon Gate USA promotion. The first champions were World–1 and were crowned at United: Finale in the tournament final, which was held in Union City, New Jersey. It aired on March 11, 2011 on pay-per-view tape delay entitled United We Stand. The title is also recognized by Dragon Gate USA's parent promotion, Dragon Gate, and it has been defended at a Dragon Gate show in Japan. The title is also recognized by the Evolve promotion. On May 30, 2015, Gargano retired the titles after a title defense.
Robert Evans is a Canadian professional wrestler. He spent most of his career working for several independent promotions in Texas, but in 2011 also started working in the Northeastern United States, making his debut as a non-wrestling manager R.D. Evans for Ring of Honor (ROH) and as the marching band leader Archibald Peck for Chikara. Evans has also worked with WWE and Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA) as a writer.
Thomas James Ballester, better known by his ring name AR Fox, is an American professional wrestler currently signed to All Elite Wrestling. He is also known for his work in promotions like Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), Dragon Gate USA, and Evolve. Fox has also worked for Dragon Gate in Japan, Full Impact Pro (FIP), where he won the 2011 Jeff Peterson Memorial Cup, and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG). He currently serves as the head trainer of the WWA4 wrestling school in Atlanta, Georgia.
Richard Anthony Swann is an American professional wrestler currently signed to Total Nonstop Action Wrestling (TNA). He is a former Impact World Champion, TNA World Heavyweight Champion, Impact X Division Champion and Impact Digital Media Champion. He also wrestles for Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW), where he is a former CZW World Heavyweight Champion.
